But he should fight better opponents at 160 if hes gonna stay there.

As far as calling out welterweights. Mayweather has fought at 154, Pacquiao at 150. Sergio is willing to fight them at those weights. So kill that ****.
seriously. you floyd and manny fanboys act like they stuff their face all throughout training camp to get to WW. look at the facts as of late. martinez weighed in 157.6 in his last fight, he was supposedly smaller than that during fight week. during his 2nd last fight, he weighed 165 on fight night. that's not even what andre ward steps on the scales during weigh-ins. also, what did ortiz weigh when floyd fought him, on fight night? same thing for pacquiao/margarito? even though martinez would have to dig deep to try and beat either guy (even at LMW), you guys keep acting like it's a completely unfair fight. i'm a huge martinez fan but obviously he'd a be an underdog in either fight. pacquiao and mayweather are suppose to be atgs, yet they're too scared and acting like divas to fight each other, when both are WW fighters. now they're fighting against guys who have slim chances. honestly, who's a bigger challenge out there than martinez? beating him at 154 would just on add to their legacy. i don't get it, why wouldn't you want to see your favorite fighter challenged?
and before you ask me the same thing, i wouldn want to see sergio fight pirog or ward, but we all know dibella won't let him or isn't interested in it.

Please answer my question, why can't Sergio fight SOG..and don't give me that he too small argument, if you are fighting and defending your title at middleweight...YOU ARE A MIDDLEWEIGHT!!!
Ugh Araa-whatever and Queen have a mental block. Answer this:

When did Ward say he would move down to 160 to fight martinez?

NAME ONE FIGHT MARTINEZ HAS HAD ABOVE 160?

because if you look at the situation with Martinez, he has said he would move down to 150 to fight May/Pac and both May/Pac have had fights above 147.

          Queen is making up ish.

Sergio has never been above 170 on fight night and you're right, he was 165 for Barker.

Pac - fought in 8 weight divisions?

Floyd - fought in 5 weight divisions?

Martinez - fought in 3 weight divisions?

Ward - fought in 1 weight division.

Looks to me like Ward needs to test himself at 160 and 175.

Ward-Martinez would be tremendous. Bute-Ward needs to get made if Bute beats Froch, especially if he does it better than Ward did.

Yeah i made a mistake...sorry. he has however been 171 30 days before fight night as given by the WBC weight in clause.

Ward has said he would fight Martinez at 164... Martinez walks around at 171 and weighted 165 the night of the Dzinziruk fight:

So he can make a fight Ward at 164...no problem. STOP TRYING TO FIGHT SMALLER FIGHTERS WHO BETWEEN THE BOTH OF THEM HAVE ONLY HAD ONE FIGHT AT 154 LBS.

Martinez just wants the physical advantage and strength when he fights Manny and Floyd because skill for skill, he wouldn't beat either. Move up and prove your greatness and fight Andre Ward.

Floyd weights 147, Ward 168....at 37 years of age, it easier for martinez to move up then to move down.

If Ward is willing to come down to 160 to fight Chavez Jr. I would like for him to come down and fight Sergio at 160 that would be a good fight between these two.

actually no, like i said before, every individual has a different body. look at chavez jr. he can squeeze down to 160 and weigh like 182 the next night. can brandon rios do that? no, not anymore at least. and andre ward isn't recognized as the p4p no. 1 or no. 2 in the world, let alone an atg like manny and floyd are. they both fought above 147 before, and martinez is saying he can make that weight for them. both fought guys similar to 165 on fight night (mayweather/ortiz and pacquiao/margarito) so what's the problem?

and guess what? pacquiao was 153 a week before the mosley fight. how much was martinez this week before the fight, around 154-157.

Last week, he was walking around at 153 lbs. We are bringing his weight down this week as May 7 approaches. It is easy for Manny to lose weight once we start making dietary adjustments

also, andre ward won fought in the olympics at light heavyweight. that probably means he was a bit bigger before and now cuts weight to get to the SMW limit.
