One fight at 154 is still one more than Martinez has had at 168. Why are you so upset about Martinez returning to 154 (which he can still make easily and was competitive at)? You're upset about Martinez facing a smaller Pac or Floyd but have no problem with him jumping to 168 (when he still weighs in a couple pounds short of MW) to face one of the top 168 pounders, where he'd be the smaller fighter?

Martinez is a pretty small middleweight and SOG is big enough to get to light heavy. Ward would beat him but he really has a good size advantage. It would be a good fight though.

To any or all if you want to fight someone, go into their house and weight an do it, no excuses so neither can can say weight drain or too much weight gain but my thing with Martinez. Is he wants lower weights to come up or Chavez. Jr when fight night he would be dam near light heavy

Martinez weight 171 on fight night against Barker, I don't see a problem meeting Ward at 164.

Martinez's motives for fighting the smaller guys was flawed and people see that. The Floyd haters just wanna see Floyd lose a fight at any cost and they feel that Martinez is the one who can satisfy thier cravings. Not because of his skills but only because of the weight and power advantage he would have going into the fight. They are not interested in seeing a battle between two equally matched opponents, instead they long for the destruction of Mayweather.

I can understand that cause haters gon hate. I dont wanna see Ward and Martinez because not only would Ward have a weight advantage, he would also have a skill advantage. It just amuses me to see the shoe on the other foot and listen to the haters whinning like a rusted motor. Dont start none, wont be none.
Mayweather fantards are the biggest, whiniest biitches in boxing. Everythings about hate. Mayweather is fighting at 154 his next fight, has fought there before but its "hate" to want to see him fight the best guy at 154? Wtf?

            He wont.

I didn't give Froch a round against Ward, and I'm a fan of Carl. Ward put on a tremendous display, handed Carl a boxing lesson and beat him inside and outside. I know guy's love KO's, but a 12 round wipe-out like that is more impressive IMO.

Sergio needs to stop calling out welterweights.....Ward is a middleweight (albeit super) like himself. You just want Ward to go to LHW because you cant think of a reasonable reason why Sergio shouldn't fight Ward.
When Sergio calls out people he's willing to cut a body part to meet them. When Ward calls out Sergio he's asking Sergio to move up in weight. Whoever calls out should move up or down.

it's at 160 i think it's ok to make this fight. Ward beats Martinez though. He won't be able to fight Ward with his hands down. Ward is just as fast and he isn't a static target. Also Ward will mug him anytime they get inside.

and guess what? pacquiao was 153 a week before the mosley fight. how much was martinez this week before the fight, around 154-157.

also, andre ward won fought in the olympics at light heavyweight. that probably means he was a bit bigger before and now cuts weight to get to the SMW limit.

I agree with what you're say but these guys are NOT going to STOP defending Floyd and Manny. Though, I do think Floyd will end up fighting Martinez.

                    • I'd love to see this fight. Serg should take the challenge. if he beats ward he gets P4P number 1. that would throw a huge wrench in this mayweather/pac game of tag.
