    Why did Floyd-Oscar sell so much?

    I watched the build up and the fight live just wondering what made this the highest selling ppv fight of all time???

    what made this fight so special??both have high selling fights but together they did over 2 damn million.why?

      Aside from De La Hoya being such a huge draw. I would say a lot of it had to do with the first installment of 24/7. Mayweathers personality being fresh to everyone. Basically 24/7 being so groundbreaking.

        I agree.

        Along with the fact that Floyd tried really hard in the trash talking department.

        Mayweather was the P4P #1 at that time but in the mainstream he was unknown.

        Out of no where the universally recognised best fighter in the world came full speed, talking ****.

        Add the fact he was facing Oscar De La Hoya, no less.

        No surprise it sold so well.

          Biggest draw in the sport vs the number 1 p4p fighter in the sport. Plus all the hype.

                  Yeah but Pacquiao isn't a showman like Floyd is. I had people stopping me on my daily jogs asking me about the Floyd/Oscar fight and how great Floyd looked in training with all the flash he was providing.
