Depends on who you talk to. There are some that really seem to believe he has fight changing, one punch power, but I'd say he has good power when he can square up and deliver his best shots.

Cotto has heavy hands especially with the left.

Enough to get the attention of world class fighters that you can't just walk in

He is heavy handed no doubt he doesn't have one punch K.O power but he's not the kind of guy you want to take many clean shots from especially his left hand.

He would have most likely had a lot more power in his right also if he didn't injured it in a car crash back in 2001.
