mitchell has never been past 8 rounds
he's only boxed 80 rounds as a pro
and he had 10 amateur fights.

he's actually terrific support for my proposition that all of the large talented americans are playing football and basketball

and mitchell is on the lower end of the talent pool. he never even made it to the NFL due to injuries. he was not durable enough.

personally i dont think mitchell will ever be likely to have an iceberg's chance in hell against wladimir. a punchers chance, perhaps, but thats about it.
I've said that for a while also .. but it's soooooo easily dismissed by people ... i'd like to see Dwight Howard, Lebron James, Adrian Peterson, Vernon Davis and Patrick Willis in the ring ... alas ... it's only a dream ... love them in their respective sports

You never know the chin or the mental strength of these people...Mitchell said it himself "Boxing is A LOT thougher than football, hands down", it's a sport where your mistakes can't be eradicated by your teammates like in football and you need to be mentally strong enough to keep on fighting now matter how much your body hurts or bleeds, you never know if these NFL guys could do all that.

Mitchell would be in the NFL now if not for his injury, the "durability" aspect really has nothing to do with the "talent pool".

but he's a football reject... his inability to play football is the reason why he is boxing. his story is inevitably based in his rejection from football via his injuries.

he fought ten times as an amateur and 80 rounds pro.

this kid grew up playing football, not boxing.
dont act like that's not exactly what he is.
he's an athlete who boxes. he's only making his way to the top because of a serious lack of talent in the division, not his boxing abilities.

The Klitschko's against any other fighters at heavyweight is a mismatch right now.

yeah ... that's what i'm saying... it's easily dismissed ... we Don't know how they would react to being hit flush on the chin ... we also don't know if they have a devastating power punch, or could jab someone to death ... it's a moot point ...

and you think that arreola, thompson, and chambers are "mentally tough?"

                tougher than football players?
pardon me for asking, but do you watch HW boxing today or football?
because if you do you should sound nuts to yourself

lol these guys arent mentally tough enough to stay away from the buffet line

that's the lamest excuse i've come across, considering the current crop you've got to go off.

you'd seriously rather have chambers, thompson, and arreola, walk into your gym at 12 years old?

here's the part where we acutally see who has watched football and knows about the athletes there.

how do you know this? lol

you clearly dont watch football, evidenced by the fact that you dont think football players display a chin

if you dont have a chin you get knocked the hell out in football

even if you do have a great chin you can get knocked the hell out

a 250 lb guy with world class speed for his size running into you at full speed with a helmet on is harder than anybody can punch, especially if you are running toward him yourself.
so much harder. there is no comparison.

i'm sorry to go back at the same post twice but you have to listen to yourself

they cant manage what fat thompson, arreola, and chambers can manage?

not mentally strong enough to do what those three do? what the hell are you even talking about.. look at what you're arguing for..

are you even serious? or do you just hear "america," and automatically start to argue against it?

What I'm saying is, if Mitchell ever makes it big it'll be because he put in the work and was mentally tough enough to do so, not because he was destined to do so by virtue of having once been associated with the NFL.

Is Martinez only where he is because he grew up playing soccer till the age of twenty?
