WWE action between a retired guy and a decent contender who just got his 3rd lose in 4 fights?

Yes they are boxers, but it was a post fight news conference. The fight was done with. Just because it was revolving around a boxing event means its ok to just act like animals anywhere?

Yayy now the brits are gonna pay tons of money to see Toe Haye run around the ring again.

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice....

Not at all. It's brought boxing back onto the front pages, got people talking about it. You can bet your bottom dollar any future Haye/Klitschko/Chisora fight would be massive.

Sometimes you need someone to shake things up, break the monotony and predictability of carefully managed events... and that's exactly what you got this weekend. It's only the reactionary old farts that will get their knickers in a twist over this.

Boxing's image has ALWAYS been a murky one.

All the way back since Jack Johnson was the heavyweight champ.

You think Chisora's antics are the worst?

For the all hand wringing, and old maid whining over this, I bet if Haye-Chisora ever came to be, it would sell out a pretty big arena in the U.K.
The difference is now there is SO much more media it gives boxing a bigger black eye. If we were to say this is ok and it happens more and more frequently, how does that reflect on the sport as a whole?

Haye vs Chisora will happen, and it will be massive in the UK and do well all over the world.

Bernd Boente promised a title shot at one of the brothers to the winner of Haye vs Chisora.

So sit back and enjoy the show -- people forget this stuff is entertainment.

Even the K-Brothers know the value of what happened in financial terms. Vitali said as much yesterday. You'd have to be a fool not to see it.

The outrage of the moralists will fade out after a few days, but the grudges that are now in place will animate the heavyweight division for a few years.

Because brits are easy scapegoats and love that WWE crap. Haye has made millions in one of the most boring, unmotivated runs in HW history.

Haye's hustling the people and they are willingly getting fuccked for their money HOPING they can see an exciting fight

              Black eye?

Boxing was BUILT on black eyes!

This is entertainment, bro, not art.

              Bring it on!

I do, but it can't become a lingering problem. One nut job, who makes pretty good fights, can be a good thing but also wear out his welcome. Chisora's antics made yesterday's fight bigger than it might have been. It made a potential fight with Wlad MUCH bigger than it might have been down the road. In that sense, it can be good.

If the fights themselves start sucking, or denigrating to this, in the ring, then that's where the bright line probably lies.

Think Tyson...his crazy out of ring stuff added to his allure...until he bit someone. He was still bankable, but at that point some fans got turned off bad.

                  Chisora has already bit someone

I think what's key for Chisora is to stay competitive as a fighter, if he starts getting KO'd or losing boring fights, that's when it's a wrap.

Nope...it is just journalist trying to be ethical, because (publicly anyway) they are supposed to be. Steve Bunce was the only one who called it fairly accurately, and eluded to the fact that it may lead to a big money fight. Privately many of these same press guys will be licking their lips at the prospect of these two getting into the ring.

At the end of the day people just want to watch enertaining fights, especially if they pay for them.

2 things will happen with this whole incident:

                    A) Haye Chisora gets made and they use the controversy to sell the fight.

                    B) The fight doesn't get made and it all blows over after a few weeks.

I know, but not in a fight most of the world saw. In the big fights the world cared about, fans just got some good fights (Fury, Helenius, Vit).
