Cotto vs. Mayweather = Castillo vs Mayweather I?

Just one possible outcome. We know Floyd has been looking older and his legs are nearly gones. He looked uncomfortable when forced to move against Ortiz...and don't get me wrong, I like Floyd too

Just depends on cotto's approach. Its one thing to be beaten back and walked down, quite another to step back and let a counter puncher come to you. Imo, cotto has the jab and skills to make it an effective tactic.

All in all, you cant really compare cotto to any fighter that mayweather has fought before. He's his own breed.

Floyd's legas aren't gone but they aren't in their prime anymore. His legs were still good enough to get away from danger against Ortiz, aside from about 2-3 moments in that fight, and Ortiz still didn't land much at all because Floyd's D is so sharp.

His hand speed is still really good, his legs are still fresh enough to get out of danger, and his D is still about as good as it's been.

I think Floyd will beat Cotto down worse than he was with Ortiz, more along the lines of what he did with Mosley. But, Cotto will be a totally different fighter than what Floyd has faced recently, and Mayweather is different than anything Cotto has faced ever.

          Mayweather by UD.

Mayweather isn't prime anymore, but he's still good. He's still good 1-2 years/3-4 fights left where he can be a good fighter.

Why do people have to try to matchup a certain old fight with this fight? This is like none of Mayweathers past fights, same with Miguel.

I think Mayweather is too aggressive nowadays to move around as he did against Castillo.

I highly doubt he'll want to put on a hit and run show. As truly enjoyable I found those days were.

Psuedo parody of the other thread and how ridiculous it is as a notion

This will be its own fights, on its own merits, with what I think will be an exciting outcome

                    Its like none of Miguel's.

But Mayweather fights these type of slow, flat footed, come forward fighters all the time. Plus Cotto is shot.
