But something tells me it doesn't quite compare to the massive decrease in quality fighters coming from the US and the massive decline of boxing in general in the US. Which was the point.

If New Zealand was dominating the heavyweight division for years, or at least pumping out a constant flow of quality fighters, for it only to suddenly fall the **** off over a span of 10 years, then it's a great comparison.
Many of the top heavyweight boxers from Australia and New Zealand were from the late 19th early 20th century. But then Rugby took over.

Ever heard of Peter Jackson, arguably the greatest heavyweight never to win a World title.

Yeah, I've heard of him. The reason he couldn't win a world title is because he couldn't beat Americans like Jim Corbett and Jim Jeffries.

How old was he when he fought Jeffries? Almost 40 and 1 fight in the previous 6 years.

And the reason why he didn't win a world title was the same reason Langford was not a world champion, racism in boxing in the USA.

It was said with tongue in cheek not a serious comparison obviously.

that place is rugby through and through I'm not sure there are many countries that love just the one support as much as the Kiwis love rugby. India and Pakistan with their love for cricket is the only countries I can think of.

You made this long thread and even included a video, but wasn't to be taken serious? You got owned phaggot. That's more like it.

                  Well just a minor thing....

New Zealand has a population of 5m whereas America has a population of 350m.

                  But you know.....negligible.

TS Sonny Bill is a great athlete if left Rugby now and focused on Boxing for over 5 years maybe he'd get into the top 20 or top 10, I'm not sure what he'll do

It's just as valid an excuse as the NFL crap anyway.
