It's shocking, that a lot of the, so called boxing fans, constantly say "Mayweather's boring to watch".

I mean, personally, I think he makes boxing look beautiful.

Is a KO all they want to see?

Nothing more spectacular than a perfectly timed counter imo.
His fights lack drama because he is too good and doesnt take risks.

His counter right is a thing of beauty but when thats all he does its like watching a replay over and over again.

      Great, but not exciting.

        he takes very few risks.

people want more to be at stake

for the purposes of the discussion i should also add that i shell out 60-70 bucks every time floyd fights, so i obviously appreciate the way he fights.

So you blame floyd cause he is his own match maker

Without brawling, 85% of boxing fans don't understand the action. Its really that simple.

Same can be said about MMA. Only 15% of fans in attendance understand the BJJ aspect. Most come for the KO's.

Few outside of hardcore fencing enthusiasts care or even recognize the subtle techniques fencers use other than the stroke they used to score.

Fans like fireworks. Period. The technical stuff is, in their opinions, for the birds.

LOL ... how many people who post on this site knew what a "check hook" was before Mayweather ko'd Hatton with it? They won't admit it, but they had no idea what happened before Emanuel Steward explained it as a commentator.

Now you have guys who have only been watching boxing for a few years using the term to make a user name.

Boxing's beauty has always lied in its intricacies.

                Well said.

I'm actually a new boxing fan.

I love the deep history, the intelligence, stories, technique behind it.
                Beautiful sport.

I think I even try to explain all those things to a few of my friends, but they just don't get it.

Because they don't understand what Boxing actually is. They, like the UFC fans want to see a brawl.

I don't mind either and respect both aspects, but "those" people who have a problem with Mayweather's style are like I said, either non boxing fans or do not understand the art of boxing..

When was the last time Floyd gave fans an exciting fight?

                    Be honest.

Nobody wants to pay ppv dollars for a sucker punch or against past prime or out of division no hopers.

Even in fights where floyd scores a ko, the fight itself stinks because of mayweather's running style.
