Rubio knew thi & should have said something after the bout/even minor title, like a Silver bout has testing but WBC was correct in that it is up 2 the inept Texas commision to do so...guess Cole didn't want to pay the $$ or someone didn't pay him...

That's not the point. The point is Freddy's more than familiar with the testing protocol. Did it never seem strange to him that nobody showed up? Was he like 'Oh they must have forgot, no big deal, let's go get pizza.' It's a little too convenient that *everybody* there, WBC officials, TSAC officials, Roach, just plain 'forgot' about providing a standard urine sample, and not one person bothered to ask any questions. Remember, Freddy's on top of this stuff. He was the one hollering for extra testing when they spotted Hydroxycut in Margarito's locker.

"it is up to texas to respond to these claims."
that's the rhetoric of a guilty party, by the way it sounds
again, i'm not accusing chavez of taking banned substances
i'm saying that i believe the WBC was involved in some way with the lack of a post fight drug test, simply going off of my reaction to their statements
first "they forgot" a drug test (according to rubio's promoter, i should note)
and now the drug test "is texas' problem"
while it's common knowledge that the WBC involves themselves with drug testing, and even lists compliance with their drug tests as a stipulation to fight for their title
it is mandatory, and the WBC oversees it.
this stinks

THink about it, Rubio had a contract with the WBC, not the Commission to have the test administered.

ANother thing is the fact that they also require safety weigh-ins at:
a) 30-day weigh-in: 4 weeks prior to the bout, the boxer’s weight must not exceed 10% of the
weight limit for the bout, and
b) 7-day weigh-in: 7 days prior to the bout, the boxer’s weight must not exceed 5% of the weight
limit for the bout.
But i dont remember these done either

So its solely on the WBC shoulders to make sure a test is given.
