Do you honestly not see the irony in this quote from Team Martinez?
It's a hypocritical quote. But, Floyd, Pac, Cotto are all hypocritical. I don't really care.

Pac/Floyd/Cotto annoying ****riding fan base are brought together by one man.

      exactly...
Here we go with this Pirog **** again. As soon as Sergio KOs this bum, fans like you will say Pirog was a nobody and Martinez needs to prove himself against some other bum.

Martinez comes in at or around 166lbs for his MW fights. He is a small MW and has no business at 168.

I understand Cotto not wanting the fight for financial reasons. Miguel will make more money getting outclassed by Mayweather than he would getting brutalized by Sergio. I can't hate on that.

cause its an easy payday for martinez to beat down a c level fighter and at the same time get his name out thier. simple buisness move for bigger fights for martinez and thier right cotto has no chance to beat may just another tune up for may nothing more

At 154-160 I do think Sergio is one of the best if not thee best. He is also very entertaining to watch. I don't understand why so many people say he is a cherry picker (been calling out PBF for awhile, is that a cherry pick?) or he only picks on smaller guys(his last ....not even sure how many fights in a row he has fought bigger guys than him) or his only victory is over a washed up fighter (He washed him up, lol, wasn't The Punisher Williams beating everyone in his path till he ran into the smaller Martinez?).

If he can make 154 or even 150, what's the problem? I am sure many of you out there can come up with tons of fighters who either fought at a weight they were to big for or had fighters come up to a weight they were to small.

Quit about a big fighter calling out a smaller fighter if he can make the weight!!!

dude your assesment makes it official cotto fans are the most delusional disconnected from reality in -denial boxing fans EVER! EVER! Sergio vs cotto would be a total mismatch,Sergio wouldnt even need to train for that fight the ONLY motivation whatsoever sergio would have for that fight is to get exposure and make some money but from a fighting boxing perspective that match wouldnt even be a match , COTTO would get KTFO IN 1 ROUND OR LESS. IN FACT COTTO WOULD GET KTFO BY ANY OF SERGIOS LAST 5 OPPONENTS PICK THE WEAKEST ONE AND COTTO WOULD LOSE TO THAT GUY GARUNTEED.Mayweather fighting Cotto is a sick joke in and of itself but at least pac has to fight a serious fighter now for a change, and mayweather at least has been fighting better opposition. Cotto is a nice guy but hed even get brutally beaten down by JCC jr at this point im sorry dude any guy that performs like coto has in his last 5 fights isnt going to be taken seriousley ,he gasses after 4 rounds then backpedals relentlessley and just wilts when he gets hit , that he has a fanbase speaks more for faithful fans than ability hes a nice guy but hes nowhere ven near an elit fighter rt now.The last time cotto ws elite was when he fought mosley and even there its was shakey but that was a long time ago and many many beatings ago.

              So what is wrong??

Duran fighting Hagler at 160??Floyd never taking hard fights??Or P will and Pavlik being bigger than Sergio??

Martinez wanted to fight Cotto at 154 and woulda beaten him and knows Floyd won't fight him at 154, that's why he's "crying a river".

its ridiculous sergios performances and opponents speak for themselves if he was at all beatable by any of the mentioned names theyd of fought by now and these fanboys just dont want to accept their guys would get destroyed brutally, I heard some idiot saying PWILL wasnt nothin no chin ,which is absurd because didnt manny, cotto, and mayweather avoid williams like the plague even at 147lbs???? now hes all the sudden no good because martinez did something theyd NEVER be able or willing to do??I strongly beleive those guys would lose to many of sergios recent opposition, would manny beat a pavlik ,or boxing skills of barker or pwill??? UHHHH hell NO!he caint even beat a 38yr old liteweight albeit a great one, so these people what they say is to be taken as seriously as a fart in the wind........

Again, Why is Sergio fighting stiffs at MW and he dont go down to 154 That is a Hot división right now?

And again This is about Martínez biitching about Cotto, not Floyd or Duran, ect. If you hate Floyd Fine i do to, but stay on topic

Expecting their call? Martinez has already formally challenged them...lol..Nothing new.

Expect cotto's camp to accept a proposed fight when he loses (if he doesn't retire), giving him one more shot at a great fighter...

When's the last time Martinez was even the bigger guy? Lol. Martinez isn't even a big 154, let alone 160. There's 147 pounders bigger than him... Big is P. Will, Kelly Pavlik was considered big for his class, Margarito had good size for welter too, Ward some people consider big, Donaire has been big, Ortiz is a big 147 pounder, etc. Martinez is a small middle, and an average 154... Ever notice the correlation between fans saying Martinez is huge and Pac being tiny? :O
