And again This is about Martínez biitching about Cotto, not Floyd or Duran, ect. If you hate Floyd Fine i do to, but stay on topic
    Hot?
Kirkland?Alvarez? Maybe he doesn't go down cuz they wont fight him.

I'm staying on Topic talking about Martinez being avoided you Cottard, there is not only Cotto in the boxing game.
Cotto shoulda fought Martinez last year instead of the bum of the month, so should Floyd after he puts a beating on Cotto but he won't IMO.

And I'm bringing up Duran just to remember some fans out there there was a time where some fighters had balls.

And Williams was not the "bigger" guy against Martinez. Taller doesn't mean bigger.
At 168 there are elite fighters in their prime, wich is what Floyd never faced in his career.

And no, an old Mosley, Castillo and Corrales don't enter in that category.
        Paul Williams does...

This is the exact same thing he complains about Arum doing.

I like Martinez as a fighter, he seems like a nice guy and I hate how the WBC, Arum and HBO all screwed him. But if his people want to sit there and criticise Cotto, who has fought almost everyone, then they need to be willing to fight the guys who are the biggest risk and the fact is that they aren't.
Could not put it any better my friend.....well said!

i give credit to floyd for some of those fights even latley , but they werent exactley against top opposition either a 38 yr old mosley isnt exactley the same as fighting a paul williams or kelly pavlik dude,he ducked williams and margs hard!!!! I agree jr would clown pac and I agree he fights slightly and i do mean very slightly better opposition than pac does, but hell naw jr doesnt have half the balls a roberto duran had because hes not that good! if he were hed use them, billy boxing is right about that, ill go one further duran went up to 168lbs way out of his prime weight and even prime and beat Iran barkely for his title after barkley had destroyed thomas hearns! now transpose that to todays contemporaries and floyd doesnt even have a pubic hair close to what duran or any of those cats did then. fighters today are divas most of them; martinez is a throwback fighter in that sense, mayweather isnt going down as a fighter that takes any real significant risk, castillo remains about the riskiest fight floyd has ever taken and that was over a decade ago........floyds zero is his only claim to fame and even thats not legit because he lost to castillo the 1st fight and almost lost to delahoya, an undefeated record doesnt automaticlaly mean greatness, hell chavez jr is undefeated.....we all know jr is a gifted fighter but hes very very skittish he wont fight anybody unless he has the total upper hand he only called pac out because JMM beat pac nothing else otherwise hed be ducking and dodging pac and to a certain degree he still is ,having balls and being brave isnt mayweather dude thats for sure.....in fact depite the fact he has the best skilset and could possibly beat many guys he ducks, jr remains one of the most cowardy choosey and str8 up ducking fighters of all time! thats why people hate him his bragging and his opposition dont match bro!

Cotto isn't an A level fighter anymore and will probably get clowned by Mayweather. I like Cotto but that's what it seems like.

Cotto hasn't been the same since his 1st fight with Margarito. Arum shouldn't have thrown him in against Pacquiao at a catchweight so soon after that. I think Cotto is almost shot because of that.

it isn't fair to call the guy a C level fighter but Cotto has seen better days and is really just a "name" at this point. lets get something straight Mosley is totally shot, Cotto is way past his prime but still has something left in him.

Cotto and Martinez were supposed to fight last year but Arum wanted to give Martinez 2 million and not the 5 that DiBella wanted. I'm a big Martinez fan but he priced himself out and only has himself to blame.

Sarmiento should be talking smack to team Mayweather. Mayweather said he'd only fight Martinez at 150 catchweight and not at 154 but he's fighting Cotto at the full 154. the only cherry picker here is Mayweather and Martinez's team should talk smack about the right people

You got it wrong. He didn't ask for 5 million. Dibella offered to buy out Cotto for 5 million as a negotiating tactic in response to Bob Arum wanting to buy out Martinez for only 2 million. Arum didn't want to do a co promotion. Just give Martinez a low flat fee with no PPV revenue.

2 million is about what Martinez makes with the HBO licence fee, gate, and sponsors so it's a ****ty offer. A Cotto vs Martinez PPV would have generated a lot more than what Cotto vs Mayorga did.

I don't understand where you get shot from. He fights men all bigger than him, I mean he isn't even a real MW, and he TKO's them all. Foreman was a slick boxer who Cotto outboxed, Mayorga is an aggressive hard hitter who is very big, and Margarito HAD to happen and Cotto fought an almost perfect fight that night. To me, he isn't shot. I like his new trainer too. With his win over Margs his confidence is back, demons gone. At least we agree on one thing: He has definitely got something left in him.
