Ditto. No catchweight, decent winning streak.

there's just too much hypocrisy in this thread. i swear most of these people saying this version of cotto against floyd is better are the same people who write him off after the brutal beatings he got from margarito and pac.

suddenly, cotto had miraculously turned into lazarus who rose from the dead...only because he's about to fight floyd of course.

he is definitely the more confident Cotto even if it is a false confidence I think people are saying he is still damaged but a better version w/o catchweight and with a real corner

i dont understand how a older cotto with more rounds, fights, more wear and tear on a body can be better than a cotto with with less rounds, fights, wear and tear. Boxers are like cars. Its all about the mileage. You cant reverse the mileage on a boxer.

after all the wear and tear i don't know how cotto can be more confident now? and what makes him not so confident when he fought pac? catchweight or not, it's a fact that this version of cotto got brutally beaten twice and has grown older so physically he's in no better condition. and about the corner, i don't know up to what extent would that be a factor really. pac is a nightmare for cotto stylistically and i don't think it would have matter if you put somebody else in his corner. floyd is another fighter that is all wrong for cotto stylistically plus the physical decline...what could his new coach could possibly do to help cotto?

Pac destroyed Cotto at his best weight back then, then after the beatdown he went up to 154. Mayweather is fighting a shot Cotto who's beat another Pac-destroyed, half blind fighter in Margarito. What a load of crap Floyd is trying to sell to his fans. Meanwhile, Pacquiao is going to fight another undefeated prime fighter in Bradley. When Pac takes Bradley's 0 as well, Floyd goes into hiding forever, guaranteed!

everyone acts like cotto is some new found fighter with new coaches. he's had how many trainers now? gtfo, he has not had a consistent trainer since evangilista.

seriously, its official that floydstans have overrun this place and are officially dumber than pac fans again
