Clottey is a mental midget but he is a better fighter than any of those 3 fights that Cotto fought after Pac.. He took it to a prime Marg, and Cotto..

Cotto is still a good fight though.. But Floyd will not get any more credit that Pac had after he TKO Cotto....

Typical ignorance. So apparently, Cotto went south after Margarito but fought his way back after Pacman to be unshot again. Lol. Good stuff coming from people with tons of common sense.

Nobody is saying Floyd would get more credit. I won't give Floyd any more credit now than I would have if they fought years ago.

so after one or 2 losses a fighter becomes shot?!?....the problem is that dudes keep trying to label Cotto as a SHOT fighter....he was NEVER shot....he just had a few rough nights against a few rough opponents...thats all!!

            That's exactly my point.
Cotto is not and never was 'shot'.
Roy Jones has been shot for close to a decade.
            That's what shot looks like.

Hard to say. The version Floyd is fighting went through two serious beatdowns (as opposed to the one Manny fought who had only lost to Margarito) and has more wear and tear on his body. That said, Cotto is in a much better place mentally (confidence is high) and physically (fighting at a comfortable weight). Plus, he has a real trainer. Hmm...

                  hard to say

I would say that it depends on what exactly it is that Miguel Cotto has developed now, that he didn't have back then.

Even if Cotto had more confidence back then. Thats still not enough to beat Mayweather. His offence from back then would have been EASY neutralized and picked apart by Floyd, and back then he had much much less defensive ability to protect himself from Mayweather's onslaught. He would have fought hard, and got beat. Period.

Now... he has developed better balance, and better foot work. So i think that would make him not AS easy to outbox as before.... but he is still gonna be easy to outbox.

Joshua Clottey is a defensive fighter, and he *****d Miguel Cotto up. If Clottey did that to Cotto what is Mayweather gonna do?
