erik morales begged for 132 and they flat out refused and put a 500K fine for each pound. but it's only 2 pounds right? how hard can it be to lose 2 pounds? tell that to morales.

Since when did you start listening to what fighters say?

Bute said Glen Johnson was his best opponent to date. That didn't stop you from naming 3 other opponents that were supposedly better.

I guess now we're back to listening to what fighters say again.

On that note, I'm not so concerned with weight being an issue here. I'm more curious to see if Manny will take the test or if it only applies to fighting Floyd.

Cotto just like any Boxer, have all the right to chose their opponent.
And I wish him all the best!

You go Cotto!!! Make that demand 154 or bust, and while you're at it, ask for $25mill guarantee...

...so this **** fight will not see the light of day.

What's the source for this article? The PR media doesn't have him quoted like this. Also, some of these quotes are out of wack.

Cotto said that he has no problem fighting either guy (May or Pac) and that with time and preparation he can beat both of them. What really is going to determine the opponent he faces is money. Money talks.

Then he said that there was nothing official with nobody (referring to May and Pac), only conversations no official proposal, and that maybe in two weeks they (his team) would have something more concrete.

I think what I wrote above makes it a little bit clearer, from reading the article posted it sounded like in two weeks he'd be fighting Pac.

Obviously Pac and Arum are not as confident as you.

                    Good for Cotto.

It's about time he stuck up for himself, glad to see he's put his foot down regarding Arum/Pacquiao.

When didn't I listen to fighters? Not agreeing and not listening are two different things. And, like I didn't agree with Bute that Johnson was his best opponent to date. I don't agree with Cotto saying he sacrificed his body to make 145 in the first fight. Do I believe he would sacrifice his body to make 147 now? Yea sure.
