What does posters saying he was weight drained have to do with what Cotto himself said? He didn't say he was drained. However if Cotto returns to 147 to fight Pacman, which fighter does that benifit?
Again that post that you quoted had was to the posters who were saying not what Cotto said. It's not that hard to comprehend.

He said "AGAIN"....When did he do it the first time?

And, yes at 147 Cotto more than like would be drained and it would benefit Pac TODAY. It's been a couple years since Cotto fought at WW. So I can't say that it won't hurt him. But, was he drained or did he sacrifice his body the first time. No, and do I feel he can beat Pac at 154? No. You disagree? fine.

This rematch is useless, I hope it doesn't happen at any weight. Let him fight Floyd. And, hopefully Pac finds his nuts and fights Bradley.

Yup. Money talks. Cotto will go down to 149, 148. Or it'll be made at 150.

All that is fine & dandy, up to the part where you said he made excuses. Then turned around and said you meant his fans. The catchweight in the 1st fight was absolutely not to his benifit, would the outcome have been different at 147? We'll never know.

I am in tuned to believe that a rematch around 150 would not look like the 1st fight and Appearently team Pacman feels the same, hense the demand for 147, just sayin!!

remember his trainer saying to roach: "145 pendejo"

              what was he referring to?

its only two pounds, but what do two pounds really mean in boxing? what did it mean for malignaggi when he fought juan diaz the first time compared to the second time?

Dont you think he had a bit of trouboe making weight?
STFU, Pacquiao is getting expose here.

Do I think he whoops Miguel again? Ofcourse!!
                I don't!!!

It's all bias, now thanks Miguel and COTTARDS, I hope Manny fights him, I'm ok with the fight.
I'm getting tired with this catchweight excuse.

I'm a Cotto dude and I didn't want to see this fight because Manny would hurt Cotto and retires him this time and I don't want Miguel to retire.
                But let's go...

Cotto made 146, under the limit, against Clottey, do you really think he was drained and weak by losing one pound???

Is it me or Manny was a blown up lightweight when he fought Miguel??

There's a difference when coming in unforced to a 147lb fight weighting 146 than cannot weighting over 145 for a fight, true story.

any true fight fan knows how important weight is. 1 pound may not be a big deal for YOU but it is to fighters.

there's a difference between training for a fight that takes place at 147 and weighing in at 146 due to proper hard work AND working ur body to lose two extra pounds. its not like cotto had 146 as his target weight when fighting clottey. how many times has mayweather come in at 146? yet he couldnt make 144 with marquez...thats only two pounds remember?

also there wouldve been a penalty stipulated in the contract had cotto come in over 145...how's that for an incentive to keep ur weight down when fighting for ur career highest purse?
