He has Khan fighting completely the wrong style. Thats what he's done for Khan.

The reason why Floyd ranting about Pac becoming great in a span of a few years. This was because of Roach's guidance.

Amir Khan would prolly be KO'd again ala-Prescott if not hooking up with Roach.

There ain't no doubt that Roach is slipping, basing on his stable of fighter's last fights, but that doesn't take away his ability as a trainer.
that still doesn't mean he's not overrated..... and his fighters really aren't known for their adaptive skills.

Do you expect Khan to be bobbing & weaving?

Roach has done wonders for Khan, he just needs to put a lot of work into his inside game.

            All trainers have losing fighters.

PAC had a close fight. He got the nod.

Khan had a close fight. Didn't get the nod.

Linseed got stopped, but he was winning the fight.

No other trainer now IMO has numerous fighters that are doing well or at the top.

Steward has a few decent guys. Sale being on top.

            Roger only had floyd really

            Senior?

Basically most other trainers have one dude who is on top

I think is more to do with the gym than the trainer. A trainer gets a bit of a reputation and fighters will flock. You got a lot of good fighters at the Wild Card, training side by side, pushing eachother, you get that good sparring in, steal sharpens steal and all that.

Used to be the same at the Kronk.

Roach is overrated for sure but he has a good gym at the moment. He is just a good trainer not the messiah.

Its clear from this thread some people overrate Freddy Roach but on the other hand some people grossly underrate Freddy.

To call the guy a "bum" is laughable the guy has given his life and his health to this sport he has had a lot of success and deserves respect he has done a lot for this sport.

If a guy like Freddy Roach can be described as a "bum" what does that make a guy who takes time out of his day just to post **** on an internet forum about him?

He is doing good, but Marg is a flop.

Donaire now is good, and so is rios, but the level khan and PAC are fighting is IMO higher than donaire and rios. However, they are winning.

Let's see how donaire deals with the bigger names.
                      The same for rios too.

                      Rios at 140 will struggle.
Donaire as he moves up may do too.
