even at 150, that would be a much, much tougher fight for mayweather than a fight with pacquiao.

Show me something that says that and is legit. Even when Floyd fought Oscar at 154 lbs, where people said he looked bigger than he ever has, he only weighed 150 lbs. Floyd himself has said that he walks around anywhere from 154-160 when he's not training or fighting. So....he weighed 160 on fight night??? You think he rehydrated 14 lbs???? Get real man.Comment

Gotta love the people that are now saying "Sergio looked like s**t his last fight". How??? Yes, Barker was able to hit him some, but maybe Darren Barker isn't as terrible as people thought. Sergio was still as quick as ever, looked basically the same to me. Weighed in 158, came in at 165.
Mayweather-Martinez at 150: C+ fight. B- at the highest, because of the weight. It'd be Floyd going from 146.5 his last fight to 150 (3.5 lbs) and Sergio going from 158 to 150 (8 lbs). It should at least be at 152 lbs or 153, hopefully 154.
Still, Floyd and Manny shouldn't feel an obligation to fight Sergio. He's a Middleweight and they are Welterweights. It's like saying Nonito should feel obligated to fight Adrien Broner, Yuriorkis Gamboa, right now. Or like saying Timothy Bradley should feel obligated to fight Miguel Cotto. Or like saying Sergio should feel obligated to fight Chad Dawson, Andre Ward, Lucian Bute. It's simply not the case.
Yes, Sergio would greatly add to either guys legacy, but there's no obligation for them to fight him. I just hope if it ever happens, it's at 154 lbs.Comment

It's only lame cuz u're not the one inside the ring. Fanboys expect to much. I don't have any problems with catchweights IF ur going up against a fighter that will outweigh u by 20lbs on fight night. Weren't u guys just biitching last week about how the fans should respect and appreciate a fighter because their putting thier life on the line when they step into the ring???
Waste your money on the fight if you want. Im not up for seeing a drained and weakened Martinez get beaten on points by an extremely comfortable Mayweather on fight night.Comment

To be clear, Floyd's take on Sergio at 150 was in response to a question posed to him. That question went something like this:
"In the past, Martinez has said he would come down to 150 for a fight with you. Would you be willing to fight him if that was the case?"Comment

Martinez was on record saying he'd go down to 150. If they do fight I'd hope its a 12 rounder at 154, no MW title on the line.Comment
