However I'm not for catchweights. I want to see fights at an actual weight class. But Martinez said he would fight Floyd at 150, Floyd did not come out and make that weight limit. And Floyd only went to 154 to fight DLH because he couldn't stand DLH or his father who trained DLH so Floyd had been saying he wanted that fight since Floyd was at 130. He has not fought above 147 since.
please dont start making excuses.. just like what u guys said before about pac when he fought oscar. pac didnt make oscar come down in weight oscar challenge pac at that weight and they took it. u guys was saying if pac was so good he wouldnt have made oscar come down, same with floyd, if he's so good he would say **** 150 i'll fight u at your own weight 154. but either way im not gonna give floyd any fuss if he chooses to fight serg at 150 but to his fans please dont try to use that excuse that it wasnt floyd's idea to fight at 150.

I think most people who are posting are saying they would prefer the fight at 154, that's Pacquiao and Mayweather fans. The difference is, a while back the same pac fans who are saying Mayweather should fight him at 154 were saying that if Martinez was a real warrior he should fight pac at 147.

Where did you hear that? HBO didn't do an unofficial weigh-in on fight night.

It's all speculation (unless you have some undeniable proof).

Same thing with rehydration clauses. Has there ever been a reyhdration clause in a contract (seriously)? I hear people saying it left and right but has there ever been proof of that?

As for Martínez, I'll admit that I'd be excited to see Mayweather take on a foe that legitimately deserves him, but I have to stand by what I've said before: I DO NOT LIKE CATCHWEIGHT FIGHTS.

Hell, I don't think Martínez can make 154 comfortably anymore, let alone go down to 150.

If Floyd wants to eliminate a LARGE portion of pre-made excuses following the fight, he should fight Martínez at 154.

Yeah I was hoping for 154 as well. Long as the MW title isn't on the line.

Martinez said he'd fight either at 150 a while ago. SO it wasn't floyds idea. That said, I don't think floyd is gonna say "hey sergio, lets do it at 154."

Wasn't Ellerbe quoted yesterday as saying..."we don't do catch weights", and Mayweather in regards to Cotto, "no catch weights we want him to be comfortable."

did u even read what i type or did u just responded as soon as u saw my name?? i didnt say it was floyd's idea to fight at 150. i said stop using that excuse because when pac fought oscar at 147 which wasnt pac's idea u guys was saying if pac was so good he wouldnt have accept that offer and make oscar come down to 147. well the same goes for floyd, if he's that good he would reject sergio's offer to fight at 150 and make the fight at 154. but like i said im not gonna give floyd any fuss if its at 150, but to his fans dont use that excuse that it was sergio's idea, because floyd doesnt have to accept it does he?

I wasn't one of those people. But I can't see any fighter giving away his advantage. Sergio wants the payday, floyd wants the payday. Sergio offers 150. No way in hell floyd says no make it 154.

and i completely understand that, why would u want to give your opponent that extra advantages but i was only replying to one that keeps on saying it wasnt floyd's idea to fight at 150 like thats going to give floyd more credit when the same people saying this was *****ing on pac when he accepted oscar's challenge at 147. u were one of the ones saying oscar was weight drain so like u said above no way in hell would floyd say make it at 154 just like pac when he fought oscar, no way in hell would pac say no **** 147 lets do it at the weight u're comfortable at. so why piss on one guy for doing this but not the other?
