Bob Arum's very first act following the Pac/JMM III fight.....

..... was to announce through Judge Daniel Weinburg that Top Rank will not be entering into negotiations with Floyd Mayweather as they were too busy investigating a rematch with Marquez.

Now we got all the other excuses, cuts, stadiums, dates, promotions.....

It could not be more blatantly obvious that Team Pacquiao are ducking Mayweather like the plague.

Team Pacquiao don't want none of Mayweather.

It's like they have no faith in Manny whatsoever.

However, he saw the marquez fight, first floyd was scared he may lose so he ducked you lot but now marquez has kind of exposed all of you so floyd is now back, now it is sadly you who is running.

Gotta agree with him piggy backing off Floyd's name. Only reason his fights against faded guys were relevant were because Floyd's name was attached to every fight and how he is basically the challenger to the throne. Floyd is considered the fvorite in the match, and the p4p best. In most cases, it's up to the challenger to meet demands and do whatever possible to secure a fight with the best. This is why Pac's team gets so much ish about it. Like it or not, Pac hasn't exactly earned the right to demands against Floyd imo. Especially not 2 years ago. All this over a lack of wanting to take a drug test. It's insane. You know you're ducking when the #1 P4P challenges you and you still haven't fought... I like Pac, but his team has attached a sort of * to his name. Floyd can forge his legacy by fighting a drained Martinez after his jail sentence. If Floyd said yes to Martinez, Martinez would put his career on hold and wait for Floyd to get out. JMM has done it..Mosley did it, Tito and Oscar tried as well by going up, etc. Pac is the only one who hasn't stepped up out of the good fighters from the last 10 years. Right now is probably the lowest point in hi career (Floyd's) and you can't get your team to agree? I bet they want to fight him after jail in hope he loses his edge due to lack of boxing training. Floyd is an alleged gym rat, I wonder how much his little stint would effect him? It's not a long time, but it could be the catalyst that lead to his fall. I hope for pac's sake, he gets this fight. I'd hate to see a biogrophy of him 15-20 years from now have that Floyd cloud over him.

Another poster made a great point. Knowing that Floyd challenged Manny BEFORE the 3rd Marquez fight, if Arum and Team Pac really wanted the fight why didn't they immediately start negotiating after the fight? The BS stadium could be almost done by now. The answer to that is "THEY NEVER INTENDED TO FIGHT FLOYD". Manny is a fraud and shouldn't be on nobodies Top 3 maybe not even Top five because people may dis the Klitchsko Brothers but they have fought and beaten everyone put in front of them, I would rank them Ward, Marquez and Martinez in front of Manny at this point (of course Floyd is #1). There is absolutely no excuse for this fight not happening May 5th. You can tell by Roach's BS excuse claiming more promo is needed. That assures me that their all in on ducking Floyd, Manny included.

BoxingScene is flooded with Team Pac articles, it's pathetic at how hard they are trying to make it seem that they want this fight to happen. They are too busy trying to out-maneuver Floyd, and try to force him to bend to their desires. The way I see it, Floyd's neck is on the chopping block cuz he's the one going to jail. He's the one trying to make this fight happen, but Arum is blinded by Pac's previous PPV success. He thinks the fans won't turn on Pac, well he is mistaken. See, I don't mind if they don't fight. But, I want Team Pac to be up front, tell the public that he doesn't want to fight Floyd and we can just move on. The boxing public has had ENOUGH of this nonsense. I'd rather get articles about other divisions, we act like Pac/Floyd is the end-all, be-all of Boxing. Look what Arum has done to the sport.

I think they do have faith in Manny. My assumption is that Arum does not want Floyd to benefit financially from fighting ANY Top Rank fighters, especially his bread-winner. In any case, Im still hoping for an agreement on May 5th. Considering all the chatter lately, Mayweathers camp has been quiet the last couple days. Maybe a good sign? We will all know in a few days.

Although probably true, it's a silly attitude to have considering all the money everybody stands to make. It's a win-win for everybody.

Who knows? Maybe they're all working together behind the scenes to have everything prepared for a massive show. Including the spats in the media.
