Wow, I never heard that one before. Great intellectual break down of the fight game.

JMM is 10X the boxer/counter puncher Cotto can ever dream to be and he had incredible trouble with Pac and was completely dominated by Mayweather.

Cotto can't learn at 31 years of age to all of a sudden become this master counter puncher.

Cotto has no chance vs Mayweather, Pac or Martinez. If they want to keep Cotto alive, they will stay away from those guys.

Cotto is now at the stage of his career that he needs to be that old veteran that gives the young up and comers good fights and good tests. Let him fight Canelo, Jr or the winner of Ortiz v Berto.

Jmm isnt naturally 20-30 lbs heavier either, nor is the harder puncher nor quicker in the higher weight divisions.

Bad approach aside, for the first part of the cotto-pac fight, it was back and forth with each fighter giving and taking. In the fourth round before the knockdown, you didnt know which way the fight was going to go, as cotto was laying it on manny.

Cotto IS a better boxer today than in the first fight. He's better on his feet, using his right hand, tieing up, etc. It wwould be a great fight, and to dismiss it would be rather naive/stanish imo.

Aww **** the idea was to tell him to fight Canelo, that's his best option. Unless Floyd offers him a fight, which I doubt.

It's mostly Pacs speed Cotto had troubles with. Both hand and footspeed.

Is Pac as fast as he was? Not so sure.

I still heavily favor Pac, but i feel Cotto has a better chance vs him than he does Martinez or Floyd currently.
We've seen pac vs. Cotto tho. It's kind of a bull**** fight in my opinion.

I'd love to see Cotto vs Canelo tho. Thats my pick.

I'd bet quite a bit of real $$$ that Chavez Jr would also beat Cotto.

Cotto-Canelo is a ppv on its own. May 5th would be perfect.

Really going out on a limb there chief. Imagine that, a guy naturally a couple divisions heavier would beat a smaller guy.

The beauty of it is, cotto aint even scurred.
