  • i strongly urge any of you defending a cotto - pacquiao II fight to rewatch their first fight

it was about as far from competitive as a world championship fight can get.

cotto literally shyed away from contact for the entire second half of the fight

the few rounds he did try and make a fight out of it resulted in knockdowns (the second knockdown left him badly hurt)

either he continues to take risks in that situation, leading to him getting knocked out
or he stops taking risks and tries to survive to the final bell

you guys really want to see a rematch of a fight that saw one fighter running away and giving up?
    we really are different

      yes for a few reasons:

      1. The rematch won't be at 145lbs.(hopefully)
      2. Cotto has a better trainer now.
      3. Its not jmm that gives pac problems, its his fighting style.(same reason floyd would school pac if they ever fight)

A rematch at a higher weight than 145 with a better game plan and cotto has a good shot at winning. most people expected cheato to beat cotto again based on their first fight, as if a guy can't learn from his mistakes and make the proper adjustments the next time around.

Cotto isn't skilled enough. He will get stopped again.

        there no real debate.

that's not even close to being the same thing.
