If I was Floyd, I'd do whatever is necessary to make this fight happen - first of all, that's a BIG name. Secondly, he gets to shove it to Top Rank. Thirdly, that's a solid fight, a good fight - in terms of available opposition, that's a damn good second option in my opinion.
If Cotto wants to go the Canelo route, I say don't let GB bully you, take that fight to MSG on June 9th (I don't see how this could be on an undercard on May 5th).

Bad approach aside, for the first part of the cotto-pac fight, it was back and forth with each fighter giving and taking. In the fourth round before the knockdown, you didnt know which way the fight was going to go, as cotto was laying it on manny.
Cotto IS a better boxer today than in the first fight. He's better on his feet, using his right hand, tieing up, etc. It wwould be a great fight, and to dismiss it would be rather naive/stanish imo.
You overestimate what Cotto did in that fight vs Pac. He did good in the first 2 rounds and had his moments in the fight but overall, was completely dominated after the first two rounds. It wasn't close and Cotto doesn't have the speed, pressure or counter punching to ever beat Pac.
He's also not better, he's looked better against ****ty opponents. He's beaten old ass Mayorga, and worn out Margarito. Not to mention Yuri Foreman so his past 3 wins aren't necessarily against lb for lb great fighters.
Cotto should fight Canelo or Jr.

It's petty and it doesn't matter cause he got his ass whooped but that's just inaccurate. Outside of a flash KD he won the 3rd, was winning the 4th until the KD and then won the 5th. Overall, yea he got killed over the second half of the fight so it's fine to say Pac dominated him, but he didn't "dominate" after the 2nd. He dominated after the 6th. And he really put a beating on Miguel.

Chavez is a way bigger guy whos getting better and can punch hard (sometimes/fairly often gets sloppy tho), and cotto is quite a damn good boxer who has power aswell.

He was landing some jabs (he has a great jab) and was delivering some shots in spurts but overall, it was Manny in control of the fight.
There's no reason to want to see him fight Manny again, or Mayweather because that will be worse.
Sorry, you guys need to think with your head and not your heart.
