PacBoy is off his rocker. He has to be in Mannys camp to spew the trash he's spewing. It's sad, really. And Manny and his team is doing what they're good at, making excuses on why NOT to fight. This is the Fighter Of the Decade, Top Five of All Time that his fans like to scream about? Please.

Exactly, when Floyd booked up that date and venue, it was clear that opponent was not going to be Pacquiao.

A boxer not well known to the casual fan, a Mexican or of Mexican descent.

But when Bob booked Cowboy Stadium ahead of a deal you had no problem with it so which is it? Bottom line, Manny is refusing to fight and the media is holding him to the same stabdard the have held floyd too. Suddenly, Manny don't look so good. Sucks doesn't it.

So Floyd wanted May 5th, Pac wanted first week of June. So which means that Team Pac bended, and decided that they will take the fight on the end of May. So it seems that team Pac are the one making compromises just to make this fight happen.. The problems with *****s, is that all or nothing with Floyd.. Pac already agreed to Floyd's demand of drug testing.. I mean I dont know about you idiots, but it seems that as far as Pac-May is concern, its Pac who is trying to compromise to make this happen...

Of course they would still watch but the ratings change according to the date. May 5th is the date that guarantees the highest ratings in May, it's not even up for debate. Lots of people who work on weekends will take their saturday off to be with their family and watch a fight together. They are more likely to do it on that date than any other date.

So you think fighters only care about their guaranteed purse? Did you start following boxing yesterday? Do you know that fighters sometimes get a piece of the ppv money and therefore wanna make sure their fights sell as many ppvs as possible?

To me it makes no difference, the question is what difference does it make for Arum? What's his reason for wanting to schedule the fight at end of May instead of May 5th?

i dont care if the fight makes 1.00 or a billion dollars. Has nothing to do with me or any fight fan! Thats their concern and job. I pay for the fight. I watch the fight. Don't the PPV change by any significant margin. Zero chance getting sued as well, especially considering the money being brought in for the the fight a couple weeks later at the same venue.

And they will have the 5th freed up again to make some more money with lets say an Alvarez fight.

To me, you have negotiated with your opponent, venue and date included, the more things you take off the table the harder negotiations are going to be.

Yes except that Floyd doesn't have a history of fighting outside of Vegas so that would be a deliberate attempt at making Floyd turn down the fight. Pac regularly fights in vegas and 5 of his last 7 fights were at the MGM grand so he has no problem with this venue.

They have tried regular negotiations in the past and it hasn't worked so they decided to give Pac a perfect date and venue that no fighter would turn down.

What rock did stay in? This is Pac vs Mayweather you're talking about. This fight will transcend a Mexican holiday for crying out loud. PPV will be the same no matter what day. Cinco De Mayo will only make a difference if it's a low profile fighter or if you're a Mexican boxer. Pac vs Mayweather have to be May 5? gimme a break! You act like you don't want to see this fight. You know nothing about promoting and event scheduling. Why do you think big fights happen in the first week of May? Pac-Mosley, Pac-Hatton, Floyd-Mosley, Floyd-Oscar, Oscar-Forbes, Oscar-Mayorga, Pac-JMM 1, they ALL took place in the first week of May. You think it's a coincidence? What rock are YOU living under?

Huge opportunity for Floyd to publically call their bluff... Late May would mean Saturday, May 26th - that would would still leave Floyd about a week to celebrate and address any injury since he doesn't have to surrender himself until Friday, June 1. Do it in late May, whoop Manny, and go do your time...When you get out, your bank account will be 40 million fatter.
