From a fans perspective.... i can care less when they fight on what day! i just wanna see the fight. To argue if its beginning of May end of May like it makes a whole hell of a lot of deference e(which it does not) is ******. Not as ****** as a fighter ..either one of them being accused of ducking because of date issues. Manny has no prior engagements. Floyd has to go to jail. Floyd wont get everything his way. Manny has said countless times...that he has done alot in this sport and is happy with all his accomplishments. He dont ned Floyd. Floyd isnt anything but another fighter to him!

So...I guess I'll ask my question again. Why is it better for these two to fight at the end of May rather than May 5th? There has to be more of a reason than, "so Floyd doesn't have everything his way." The key word in that question is "better". Why is end of May better than May 5th if they are planning on fighting at the MGM anyways??

And trust me, with the way things are right now, it's Manny that needs Floyd more than Floyd needs Manny. Not just from the media standpoint, but from a performance standpoint as well. Pacquiao needs to redeem himself after he looked like that against Marquez.

I'm confused. I thought the Arum said the stadium was the reason why the fight couldn't happen on the 5th. If its no longer an issue, why can't Pac just fight on the 5th?

Huge opportunity for Floyd to publically call their bluff... Late May would mean Saturday, May 26th - that would would still leave Floyd about a week to celebrate and address any injury since he doesn't have to surrender himself until Friday, June 1. Do it in late May, whoop Manny, and go do your time...When you get out, your bank account will be 40 million fatter.

Absolutely hit the nail! May 26th is also part of the beginning of a 3 day weekend for Memorial Day, so there's no doubt in my mind that if this fight happens, May 26th is a great date. Casuals and even straight newbies will already have their wallets loosened a bit with the big BBQ weekend that also means lots of Coronas, Heneikens, etc., so the $59.99 to $64.99 PPV will be a blissful drop in the bucket. MAKE IT HAPPEN both parties involved!

This is such B.S. - each side has excuses. Arum should just agree to May 5. But Mayweather should agree to any date in May if he really wants the fight.

It really seems that neither Arum or Mayweather want this. Arum wants to continue havn Pac fight in-house fights, and Mayweather wants 30-40 mil to beat another easy fighter like Guererro. They're both posturing through the media.

I know many people are sick of this, but I will admit, I still very much want this fight; if ti doesnt happen Im not buying either of their next PPVs. im not saying its better or worst for end of May or May 5th. Dont see the problem with either on really. BUT others do! My pint is if they need the end of May...so be it. What the big difference. Dont mean its a duck move. Hell they can always fight next year! id say the end of May isnt a bad idea....Or the beginning. I can care less. Its not my job! I dont have either fighter under contract. And May 5th can be moved. Just because its already been set dont mean ****. It can be reset as easy as it was set before.
Your opinion that Manny needs Floyd to redeem himself imo is funny! They're are other big fights manny can do and sadly a part4 with JMM if needed. Every fighter has lacklusters from time to time. Remember Ricky Hatton and Luis Collazo? It happens in this sport. He wont retire on JMM hes got fights left in him and Floyd to Manny is just another job to do. Floyds not the greatest of all time lol!
