same reason pernell was not popular, he's not exciting and he is not entertaining. I personally enjoy watching his fights, but most people don't like technical fights.

Not a KO artist, not a trash talker/entertainer.

and why does it have to be racial? Black people can show up to his fights and tune into watch them on showtime...but they don't. Same goes for Bradley, so i guess blacks are racists for not supporting there own fighters?

he is not a crowd pleaser due to his style and lack of power but i enjoyed his last 3 fights a lot. i think he is trying to be more exciting.

He need some big fights and to make him self know drop a weight class and fight Martinez and go up an fight Dawson that would make him a star reason why. No fighter is a star anymore is because there's no big fights and even matches he needs to fighter people that have name that have a style that makes it hard for him he needs a trilogy

why wasn't john ruiz popular? he was champion in the most popular division. i'm sure it had nothing to do with his style. he just had a boring personality. it probably would have helped a lot if ruiz had learned english earlier in his career

Because most Americans don't care about boxing.

He doesn't have an all action style, and he needs to fight some big names. Kessler, Froch and Abraham aren't popular in the U.S. The main reason might just be because boxing in general isn't really popular in the U.S. It's not like football, baseball, basketball or even golf. I, for one, am a huge Ward fan though and have been since the beginning.
