If pac fought soto, he would have made the same or less than he did fighting solis, who again was ranked higher & undefeated. Going in circles now. Same stuff we already went over. barrera = biggest fight for pac at the time (as far as PPV buys and money earned). Solis = only happened cuz barrera rematch was delayed, higher ranking than soto.
Please back up this opinion with fact.

I could have sworn Barrera got two wins against Rocky, the second fight Barrera basically put on a boxing clinic shutting rocky down, the first fight Barrera clearly won but Juarez came on late in the fight (which he did often), then had a close fight with marquez and knocked him down in the 7th. And prior to that beat Pedan who was coming off a TKO win over Nate Campbell.
Jermain Taylor got two wins against Hopkins too. Juarez was robbed in the first fight and while he lost a close one in the second, Barrera looked like a faded fighter in both. He was. Clearly. It was Rocky Juarez after all as you said, right? Pfft? He shoulda beat his ass like Raheem and Soto did.

I don't know ask mayweather when he fought Zab Judah.
You may have been perfectly fine with Mayweather doing that (as you are with Manny doing that) but I wasn't and still am not. I cannot defend that. I guess that's where we differ.

Pac is scared to fight Soto, cause he knows Soto would hurt him very painfully.

See this is why TIMING is a big issue and something you seem to lack and understand (or simply want to ignore when it comes to pacquiao). When Pac fought Solis, Soto was coming off a win over Humberto Toledo. He had no belt nor was he ranked #1, or #2, or #3, or #4 or #5.

It wasn't until November 2007 when Soto got a title shot, and he got his butt kicked by Guzman. Now IF soto would have beat guzman, then one could make the case pac should have fought him, but he didn't. He wasn't in the top 5 when pac could have logically fought him. He wasn't a mandatory. He was simple a top 10 fighter in the division who hadn't done anything yet.
          Wrong.

Soto was Pac's mandatory after Pac beat JMM in the rematch.
Thats why Pac vacated his WBC 130 lbs belt, to avoid defending it against his then mandatory-Humberto Soto.

Soto was ROBBED in the Guzman fight, cause Guzkman cheated his way with a headbutt and low blow in the 3rd round.
Guzman shouldve been disqualified for dirty illegal fighting.

          • Pac has ducked Soto since 2006.

That's 6 years, that Pac has avoided Soto.

After Pac beat Morales in January 2006, Soto challenged Pac to fight him next, but Pac chickened out and fought Oscar Larios for less money.

Soto kept trying to get Pac to fight him, and Pac kept ducking him, so Soto KO'd Pac's brother-Bobby to try to lure Pac to fight him, and Pac still avoided Soto, and instead of trying to avenge his brother's KO loss to Soto, Pac fought Jorge Solis for less money.

Humberto Soto has a much larger fanbase than Oscar Larios, Jorge Solis, David Diaz, and Joshua Clottey, all of whom Pac fought instead.

Pac is scared to fight Soto. Non doubt about it.

            ****

they started a Pac-Soto promo years ago, but Pac chickened-out and ducked Soto.

            ***

"Come on Manny!!, Dont be scared to fight me!!
You've been avoiding me for more than 6 years, since 2006"!!
            Stop ducking me, you Chicken"!!

            -Humberto Soto

Revising History, are we??.. Pac already had plans to move up to LW even before he fought JMM in a rematch at 130.. David Diaz had been in their radar as his first test at LW even before the JMM fight. But he chose to fight JMM for the lineal title..

Had JMM didnt returned from being irrelevant in 2007 (after that lose in Indonesia), he would have moved up as early as 2007.

Lamotta was still legit in all of those fights but the last.

In which, Robinson get's little credit for.

The same applies for Pac's pointless 3rd fight and 2nd fight with Barrera.

I actually agree with what you're saying. I don't personally think Pacquaio ducked Soto and your suggestion of people going back and just naming the names he didn't fight in his division and claiming he ducked them would be ******.

The same applies for the idiots who claim Mayweather ducked like 10+ fighters.

I don't see how, in any way that is a 'Justification' (What?) for Mayweather. What am I justifying?

lol shut the **** up...so what's the need for you to bring up floyd then? floyd's always on your mind eh? and if you can't notice sarcasm in a post don't quote me again...you're too dramatic

Because it relates to your post. It relates to what you were saying about another fighter. Is that something out of the ordinary for you?

Yeah, Mayweather's always on my mind. Because that's all I post about, right?

What the **** are you even talking about? You're saying I am trying to justify something, and when I ask what in genuine confusion you babble about something else.

I'm merely stating what you said about Pac, which is actually true, also applies for Mayweather.

Why did I say that? Because it's related to it.

Are general statments not allowed on this forum? Or must it mean something else that means something else that means something else?
