His work is at 154 JMW...Even if you go by the original 8 weight-classes. You would rank him at MW not WW.
And, LOL @ having Floyd as the GOAT at WW, GTFOH.
FACT: 154 was listed as Superwelter weight before!
FACT: Terry Noris did fight at WW- 147 & 154!
FACT: This is my list and I ranked them on my list the way I view them!
There is nothing to discuss! You dont like my list , then thats ok, who gives a ****. Post your list of welters from #1 to #21. If you cant then shut the hell up! I see most of you didnt even know that all of the guys on my list were WW at some point in thier career. If you are one of those guys then you should be quiet, for real because your knowledge is not deep enough to even have an argument. If you disprute my list show yours, or hide behind your computer talking bull****!
Yet, he did the exact same thing Bute is being accused of doing right now. Trinidad won his title against Blocker, defended against Oba Carr and Campas-
- and his next toughest 147 fight was against out of rehab- Pernell Whitaker.
During that time span (1994-1999) Pernell Whitaker, Oscar Delahoya, Ike Quartey, Jose Luis Lopez, even Carr and Wilfredo Rivera were taking tough fights with each other.
While Trinidad fought the likes of Lueshing, Waters, and Pineda, all the other champs were fighting stiff tests. And Trinidad is considered an ATG at that weight....
i gotta a question for ya bro why would you rate meldrick taylor higher than terry norris didnt norris knock meldrick taylor out?
Norris did win against better opposition and was much better as an all around fighter! To me taylor was speacial, and thats why I ranked him higher. He was unlike any other ww I have ever seen with his style passion and desire to win. Just because one fighter beats another do not make him rank higher on my list. For example: Holyfield beat Tyson, but I rank Tyson above Holyfield as AN ATG. Frasier beat Ali but I rank Ali above Frasier on my list as an ATG. Trinadad beat sweet pea but I rank sWEET PEA HIGHER! Are you getting the pic young buck?
Belts dont make fighters ATG! Many good fighters never even became a champion. Baldomir was a one hit wonder, the cinderella man, gone with the wind type fighter!
my rating is for anyone between 140 - 154. Jr welter to super welter. It wasnt always called Light middle at 154. I bet you knew that already though right? LOL. You young guys are to funny!
So let me understand this.
If someone asks me to make a Top 10 Middleweight list, I'm suppose to list anyone that fought between 154 - 168?
If someone asks me to make a Top 10 Heavyweight list, I'm suppose to list anyone that fought at 175 and 201+?
Let me put this as simple as possible. Now a days, if someone asks you for a WW list, they're "probably" talking about 147 max weight. Not 140 - 154...
Hey Spray, do you see what I'm talking about when it comes to having make elementary comments for these grown men? LMAO
