I cannot see interbox having the finance to lure Ward to Canada. Ward himself does not bring a lot of extra revenue with him.

Bute said he made a huge offer to Kessler. Yet there was never anything to verify that as a truthful statement.

We don't know if that is true or not. Maybe Bute made a joke of an offer which Kessler declined.

Or perhaps Bute really did make a good offer but Kessler was afraid of losing his emeritus status to him. And thus opted for a more winnable fight with Stieglitz instead, for less money.
