Jean Bedard, head of InterBox, who promote IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute (30-0, 24KOs), is have regular discussions with promoter Eddie Hearn to reach a two fight agreement with former two-time champion Carl Froch (28-2, 20 KOs). The first bout would take place in April, in Montreal, and a rematch would happen possibly in a soccer stadium located in Froch's home ground of Nottingham.

Froch isn't the best fighter out there, but he's one of very few who constantly fights top opposition. And for that sole reason I rate him.

team bute offered ward NOTHING. in order to make a fight you must go to ones team a negotiate things out. bute lied & never did anything close (bute saying he offered to go to oakland is a lie).........instead they went to frochys team & offered a 2 fight deal. the first being in CANADA..............

If Bute made Ward a serious offer for a fight in Oakland he would be fighting Ward. However, as always, Bute didn't make an offer he just said he'd be willing to go to Oakland because that's what he always does. He knows when he says bull**** lies that there are a lot of ****** boxing fans who hate Americans who will believe anything he says.

Bute can say he is willing to go to Oakland until he is blue in the face. If he doesn't make a proposal to Ward in writing (which he certainly did not), then there is no reason to take him seriously.
