Ward should not be required to fight Bute next, JUST because Bute asks for it. If Bute gets past Froch, then the Ward fight will be there for the taking. As long as Bute can hold on to his belt, that is. Until then, Team Bute should STFU lol

Gimme a break. Ward should continue his mission for gretness, not use the end of the tourney as an excuse to milk the cow.

One thing haters like you can never bash...Bute was never invited into the tourney. But he was there for Ward-Froch, on site and ringside. Who went to Bute/Johnson?

Always remember, Bute has a $6 million dollar fight lined up with Pascal in Montreal. $3 mill each, regardless of US TV. He's willing to givie that up to fight Ward. What is Ward giving up not facing Bute?

      Truth stings bro
No one owes Bute a shot right now. If the roles were switched you'd be calling Ward a cry baby. If he beats Pascal then that may do. But damn he has to beat some ***in boy for a shot at Ward who earned his spot.

You may wanna check the SMW rankings before you throw Bika and Abraham under the bus. Top ten guys.

Not sure why some of you are complaining. Team Bute WANTS to fight Ward ... and if not, is willing to take on a Froch or Hopkins or Pascal.

How can you complain about a fighter wanting that?

So? Rankings don't mean ****. Beating Abraham and Bika at 168 is nothing spectacular.

A guy who is regarded as the man at 168, who just walked the gauntlet and faced the very best fighters in his division..... should not be mandated to fight a guy who has never faced a top fighter in his division.

And it is the exact same situation with Pirog.

Pirog beats a green kid, and then immediately demands that the champ fight him in a hay-barn in Russia.

I have some advice for both of those guys..... GET RELEVANT !!

Ward beat 5 of the best SMW's in the world to get where he is, Bute wants to achieve the same thing by fighting 1.
Abraham and and Green are not relevant at 168 and Bika got beaten more decisively by Bute. Ward gets credit for Kessler and Froch but he fought them 2 years apart so there is no need for Ward to feast on more bums before facing Bute.

Btw Bute only fought bums because he wasn't invited to the tournament; but he has tried to fight the 3 relevant fighters from that tournament in Kessler,Ward, and Froch. Kessler and Ward ducked and Froch seems the only one to be game.

Time for ward to look for " MORE STATUES TO FIGHT "

He knows bute is just too damn good .

Bute feints , jabs , has great footwork ,speed , power , body shots etc.....

Im not too sold on ward yet mainly because hes been fighting PLODDERS .

I still think Bute Knocks him out . And if ward decides to move up 7 pounds To light heavyweight I see Sillakh , Pascal , Cloud and Dawson all beating him .

I have a feeling hes going to duck bute and stay fighting B level opponents in the same division for 15 years like hopkins did

Lucian Bute and his team are a complete joke.

They say they have other options aside from Ward and are looking elsewhere based on a 5 second soundbite from an interview.

Someone who seriously wanted to fight Ward would still put a legit offer on the table and at least see where the negotiations go. The fact that Bute is content to say Ward doesn't want a fight and move on without even attempting to contact Ward shows how bad the Canadian f@ggots actually want the fight.

Furthermore, Bute and his buttplug of a promoter have already made it clear that if Ward wants the fight it will have to be on Bute's terms. The fight has to be in New York because it makes for easy travel from Montreal and difficult travel from Oakland. They are also insisting on a co promotion which Goossen likely won't be crazy about. Doesn't sound like someone who really genuinely wants the fight to happen.

People are all over Bute's nuts because he beats up on spent fighters who were already dominated and put to pasture by others. He's never been tested, never been in a real fight. (Well he was in a tough fight once and he was KTFO by a face first brawler).

Bute is like a ****** who is really great at ******* off, maybe the best in the world at ******* off. A fight with Ward is like taking the ****** jack off expert Bute and putting him into a raunchy ****o with a hot ***** and expecting him not to come up short.

                  Firstly Merry Christmas everybody!!!

Now i really want to know when there were so many withdrawals from the S6 tournament, why Bute wasnt included, was it his choice or was he not invited again? it would have made more sense than Green or Johnson, no disrespect to Johnson i have much respect for him.

Although Bute i think is next in line for Ward, i think Ward deserves a bit of time to do what he wants, Bute's a good fighter but it wouldnt kill him to beat a Kessler, Dirrell or Froch before he gets a crack at Ward, although that is the fight i would like to see and it should happen.

Its a bit harsh to say Ward is ducking Bute when his resume is so much better than his, of course Bute wants that fight straight away, Ward is the man right now and there is every thing to gain by beating him, same as there is a lot to gain for Ward by beating Bute but he deserves to do whatever wants right now while Bute defends against a legit 168er, then fight each other, i would love to see that.

Well do this friend. Give me ten SMW that were more of a challenge to take at the time and then you have an arguement. If you cant then just bow out gracefully.

I really like Ward, but thought the Froch fight was an ugly fight to watch. Both men looked uncharacteristically slow. Ward looked to be moving in slow motion. Ward had been good in the past in other performances. But, he's becoming like B-hop to me in that it's just ugly to watch. As a fan, I prefer to watch 2 guys stand at slugging range and trade clean shots...like a "Rocky" movie.

Bute to me is like the tennis equivalent of Roger Federer. Hard to pinpoint his specific abilities or highlights...but he just seems to get the job done better against good opponents. I would like to see Ward vs. Bute...why not. Also think Ward vs. B-Hop would be interesting as a brawler/heat butter fight. All this recent activity has made me long for the return of Joe Calzaghe...speaking of whom, I will never forget his decimation and clowning of Roy Jones Jr. in the ring.

I also really like Andre Dirrell at 168. I think he'd be a great match for Bute. 2 skilled boxers going at it. I think Dirrell would beat Bute because as pure boxers, Dirrell is superior. He did have some strange fights in the last couple years, but he's got the best boxing skills at 168...just have attitude or strategy issues, or maybe just bad luck...i dunno.

Anyway, seems as though the excitement at 147 has all but dried up as the best refuse to fight the best or even legitimate challengers, but instead seek out the cash cows. Jr middleweight is where it's at now with Kirkland, Chavez jr., Martinez and Canelo. Dunno WTH Cotto is doing monkeying around at 154 other than he fails to shine @ 147.

168 still has unfinished business. And, I'd love to see a Mares vs Donaire matchup @ 122. Or, either of them against Adrian Broner. Yeah...122 is also a hot class class right now.

Somebody give me Martinez vs. Kirkland please as a late Christmas present. And Floyd, sell your May 5th MGM date to Canelo vs. Chavez jr!!!
