Bute - fight and beat Froch and the Ward fight is on, Ward has already said that.

Beat a top level guy and then you've earned respect respect and a fight with the proven no:1 in the division.

At the moment you're a strap holder with a reputation for not getting fights with the big guys yet blaming them - whilst they seem to be able to fight each other.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear that the Froch fights fallen through and it's 'Froch's fault" according to team Bute.

Fight Froch and if your win - fight Ward, then you'll be respected.
Bute may have fought the Magees and Brinkleys, but at least he kept his belt for this exact point of time. Sure Bute will fight Froch, no problem. But why would Ward jump of the history making train now, mid course? Fight Bute and get his ****ing belt. Or else it goes to Andrade or George. Simple as that.

Don't forget, Bute had NO CHOICE but to fight those boxers you cite. He was not invited in the tournament. Ward, on the other hand, is saying NO when everything is lined up perfect for him to write history.

And if Ward had a hard 2 years well, my friend, so did Froch. What does he do? Tries and secure back-to-back fights with Bute.

        Don't believe the hype

          Get real willya.

          FACT: Ward walked the gauntlet

FACT: Bute did nothing..... NOTHING !!

" Bute had NO CHOICE but to fight those boxers you cite. He was not invited in the tournament ".....

          Oh really ?

Well, the top fighters are no longer contractually obligated to the Super-6, so Bute can get off his fat arse and fight somebody better than a cab driver, because it surely would not hurt him to have at least one legitimate defense on his record before he steps up.

I will remind you of the current situation once again.....

Ward is the man at 168, and Bute has done absolutely NOTHING !!

The answer is simple, beat Froch, and you become relevant.

Why u mad bro? I agree with you, but this is not about Bute or Froch. It's about Ward continuing his history making run.

            No?

team bute are LAIRS.........it's easy for them to fool posters on here because people don't get facts.......ward said that he'll take a rest & let his body heal & in the mean time bute can fight a A class opponent (who doesn't know that ward must let his injuries heal) but besides that WARDS TEAM WAS NEVER CONTACTED BY TEAM BUTE. in fact team bute has lied about this whole thing, they contacted FROCHYS team trying to get him in canada...........i hate FRAUDS who sit in canada fighting bums while LYING to the media.

The fact that Ward fought back-to-back such tough fights and the fact that he injured his hand in the 6th round of the Froch fight, Ward should take a rest, fight an easier fight, and by then perhaps Bute fights a top guy and if everything goes well, maybe they can meet mid to late next year and decide who is the best 168 pound fighter on the planet.

well said. I forgot about his hand issue. Bute should fight Froch in April. It's the only logical fight for Bute and for Froch. He did lose the tourney, so he should get back some respectability by beating Bute.

                      No, I completely disagree.

Ward can fight whoever he wants, Bute, his mando, a stay-busy in Oakland.

A guy who is regarded as the man at 168, who just walked the gauntlet and faced the very best fighters in his division..... should not be mandated to fight a guy who has never faced a top fighter in his division.

And it is the exact same situation with Pirog.

Pirog beats a green kid, and then immediately demands that the champ fight him in a hay-barn in Russia.

I have some advice for both of those guys..... GET RELEVANT !!

Ward beat 5 of the best SMW's in the world to get where he is, Bute wants to achieve the same thing by fighting 1.
