I always think of SRL as similar to RJJ. Incredible attributes, but when they lost the attributes they had nothing to fall back on.

SRL seemed to suddently go from great to average overnight. RJJ is similar but he did come back down from heavyweight and that seemed to be his downfall.

Someone once said there was a comparison between Sugar Ray Leonard and Sugar Ray Robinson. Believe me, there's no comparison. Sugar Ray Robinson was the greatest.

Thats what I see happening to Pacquiao if he keeps fighting. And is it me or is every fight Pacquiao takes where his opponent does his slightest to win turning into a tough fight? He looked ****** up after Clottey, Margarito, and Marquez. Those fights are going to take a toll sooner or later. Pacquiao is the Muhammed Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Roy Jones of this generation. A tremendous athlete with so so boxing skill.

Back to the original topic: Leonard is nowhere near the number 1 spot. He might be top 20 at best.

Ray Leonard is a great fighter, one of the greatest fighters of the last 30 years. Despite not being the greatest fighter of his era.

But the reason he isn't he isn't the greatest of all time is because his resume simply doesn't allow it.

He probably has the strongest 4 signature wins of all time, arguably. But, he has a lack of depth beyond that. As opposed to other past greats.

I'd have him around the Top 20 mark.
