exactly. duran is considered the greatest fighter of their era. hagler is at least top 2 or 3 at middleweight and the only ww better than hearns in manys view is leonard and another man named ray. he beat these monsters. thats something roy has never approached. no disrespect to the man but the truth is the truth.

Yes, Would Mayweather get more credit for beating Pacquiao or beating Mosley, Ortiz and lets say Berto

Does Ali get more credit for beating Foreman or beating Quary, Williams and Terrel?

It the big fights that make you.

James Toney is a 4 division champ and Hopkins is one of the top 7-15 fighters in modern history.

Who is Leonards 7th best win? Washed up Duran? Leonard's 8th best win Bruce Finch? Leonard's resume is 6 maybe 7 wins, a lot of them extremely close fights

Roy's resume goes 15 deep with TOTAL DOMINANT wins over legit dangerous opponents like:
Reggie Johnson(gave James Toney hell, beat ATG Steve Collins)

Merqui Sosa(Ring mag rated best chin in boxing when Roy stopped him in 2, beat Prince Charles Williams twice, beat Glen Johnson, gave James Toney hell)

Thulani Malinga(beat Nigel Benn, gave Eubank hell, considered to have an ATG chin ate Eubanks and Benns best punches, Roy KO'd him in spectacular fashion)

Julio Cesar Gonzalez(1st guy to beat Dariusz)

John Ruiz(Top 5 Heavyweight at the time)

Jorge Vaca(beat #1 WW in the world Lloyd Honeygan beat Quincy talor twice)

and I can go on and on

around the same? when? they were NEVER around the same...

hagler dominated one the toughest middleweight divisions ever...hopkins had to scale down from lightheavy to beat up on smaller men in the weakest middleweight divisions in boxing history...robert allen 15X? give me a break..

i don't see what is so great, about a natural lightheavy scaling down to middle, beating up on smaller men, moving back up to lightheavy after all the threats of his era have been knocked off...but if that floats your boat, mo power to ya....hagler would have never lost to a green jermaine taylor 2x at any point in his career...Hagler is the GOAT....

oh here we go with the natural light heavyweight stuff again. So hopkins was fighting weight drained for 10+ years? Impressive stuff! So weight drained he would weigh in at 156 & 157 on a regular basis.
