Bute Has The Best Resume at 168

I know your thread was made to bring out Bute fans. However, there is something I dont understand about people complaining Bute dont deserve a Ward match.


Go to the beginning of the Super Six. Dirrell vs Froch for the WBC. What Dirrell did to deserve a title shot? Ward vs Kessler for the WBA. What Ward did to deserve a title shot? Their resume are as bad as Bute or a little worse. Now Bute is a champ and he is asking to fight the champions. Something that the fans want from a champion. But he aint getting the fights because people are reluctant at facing him or making excuse that he dont deserve a match. IMO, that is being a hypocrite.

Bute aint the best, Ward is. But the logic some people use here, to discredit Bute and saying that he has to fight someone else, is ridiculous.

The bottom line is that Ward tyook the hard road. He can dictate the who when and where. Bute has good skills but he isnt necessarily owed a shot at Ward. Its still guys out there to show us whether he deserves the fight or not. He really needs a fight with Kesseler or Froch first and only then will the word deserve and Bute belong in the same sentence.

It's obvious all the super six fighters only signed up for the tournament as a way of ducking Jessie Brinkley. Bute was the only one man enough to face him.

Interesting quote's regarding Bute's "stellar" resume and his choice of fighters during the SS that got him the much "deserved" title shot at the SS winner. I don't know why these guys are hating on Bute's resume. It must be something in the water.

I expect Bute to win by Decision but has Bute fought anyone as good as Johnson? Even this 40+ version? I don't think he has.

No, Bute's never fought anyone as good Johnson. He's damn lucky Glen is so old, because Glen from 4 years ago knocks Bute out.
