Glad I wasn't drinking milk when I read the thread title because I would have sprayed that **** out my nose! That is hilariously absurd. I dont think anyone he's faught (save for Johnson & Bika) was even considered to be included in the ultimate tounament of the best SMW's in the world. And yet these men all faught eachother. All of them have better resumes than Bute (save for Allan Green) far as I'm concerned.
Bute has very good abilities, but he only faces competition that can't clear a certain level of competency into serious contendership. Everyone in Montreal knows they are going to a snuff event just about everytime and they are okay with that.
He's kind of like a hot chick who only dates very ugly guys just to make herself look like more of a prize.

Bute "deserves" to fight Ward due to his impressive resume and the "fact" that he's ranked #1.

Bute has beaten fighters worse than they've ever been beaten before. That in itself is one of his top accomplishments.

It doesn't matter that Bute's best wins are against Andrade and Bika, 2 and 4 years ago, respectively; Bute "deserves" a shot at Ward because Bute has nothing left to prove that he hasn't proven already based on his stellar resume.

jean paul mendy? magee? joppy? brinkley? lets face it the best fighter at 168 he faced was a past prime johnson and also andrade who nearly KOd him in the 12th, honourable mention edison miranda, why didnt lucian participate in the super six or try to force his way in to prove he is the best fighter in super middleweight division? put him in the ring with guys like ward, kessler and froch then we will see until then he is not even the 2nd best fighter in the super middleweight division

Except one guy did all the chopping, while the other guy mostly waited and waited, and only at the end beat the last guy remaining - who did all the fighting.
Come on man. You know better than that...

Bute "did not" stand on the sideline and fight nobodies while Ward and Froch duked it out in the SS. I don't know what you're thinking...

Bute fought nothing but solid opposition and because of that, that's why he's ranked #1 in the polls.... Didn't you get the memo?

I don't care what any of you say, at this point, Bute doesn't have to prove anything and he "deserves" a shot at the SS winner

                  No man.... Didn't you hear? 2 + 2 isn't 4...

Mendy, Johnson, Brinkley, McGee, Joppy, and Miranda are all the reasons why Bute "deserves" this title shot at Ward.... Didn't you hear, Bute's ranked #1; just look around... Everyone agrees.

Bute's resume is obviously stellar in itself and anyone that says Bute didn't EARN his title shot is either ******ed or smoking crack. One of the two..

                      Your post is untrue...

Just look in this thread and you'll see that Bute "deserves" a shot because he's the best available right now. Let's forget about the fact that the only reason he's the best available is because the SS contestants eliminated themselves.

Let's forget that. Let's just focus on the fact that regardless of Bute's competition, he's ranked #1 and deserves a shot at the title because he wasn't eliminated in the SS.

Makes sense to me. I don't see what the problem is.

Anyone that thinks differently is smoking crack.
