Bute Has The Best Resume at 168

I don't care what any of you say.

Bute "deserves" to fight Ward due to his impressive resume and the "fact" that he's ranked #1.

Bute has beaten fighters worse than they've ever been beaten before. That in itself is one of his top accomplishments.

It doesn't matter that Bute's best wins are against Andrade and Bika, 2 and 4 years ago, respectively; Bute "deserves" a shot at Ward because Bute has nothing left to prove that he hasn't proven already based on his stellar resume.

Unless you mean that Bute has the best CV of all the guys that Ward hasn't already fought/beaten at 168 and is therefore the best qualified to face him next; in which case, I'd agree. But otherwise, I'd say you're a fruitcake.

Bute reminds me of that movie, HIGHLANDER. With the immortals sword fighting and chopping each others heads off, to gain the others power, until ultimately there are only two left. The motto was, "There can only be one".

Except one guy did all the chopping, while the other guy mostly waited and waited, and only at the end beat the last guy remaining - who did all the fighting.
