Yeah the truth is Pac gets great credit for beating Cotto. He gets the credit people think he deserves, which is an awful lot. Pac asking for 145 is down to a confidence issue and Pac just treading the water, as Pac was stepping up untold amount of weights already and not sure if he had bitten off more than he can chew, but it is nothing more than that. Can you say for certain that Cotto fighting at 145 effected the outcome of the fight with any degree of certainty? No, neither can Pac but it made him feel more confident and comfortable, thats all it was! Cotto had no problems with the weight as he had come in at 146 in previous fights.

Would Sergio fight Ward at 166lb? No, hed probably say im not a super middle, i walk around at 159lb.

Why put "stepping up untold amount of weight"? Thats ridiculous hyperbole. He was moving up from JWW.

It was manny using his financial leverage to create an advantage for himself. He won a title from a champion who wasn't allowed to compete at the full weight. If manny didn't request 145, no one could criticize him for it.

Not too sure what you mean about FAIR criticism? You have people criticizing Pac by saying he isnt the best p4p fighter and overated because he never beat the best WW? Is that a fair criticism you think? Were not even talking about catchweights or anything here!

I pointed out the fact if Sergio beat the 2nd or even 3rd best super middleweight, and beat them even better than Ward did, he would get massive credit. So why shouldnt Pac? A lot of criticism towards Pac is unfair that is the point i have made.

people just hate pacquiao because he is the ppv king, and has singlehandedly generated over 50% of 2011's ppv sales. Additionaly, he is the reigning fighter of the decade.

Its fair to point that out, especially when comparing him against other fighters who have actually fought and defeated the #1 ww. Thats not criticism, thats factual. People rating or overating him p4p is an opinion.

No, people say manny only dominates when he fights a certain type of fighter, [slower and less skilled] or they say, because he can only clearly beat one style, he isn't as good as floyd mayweather.

No. It is TR matchmaking against fighters that only prefer to trade that makes manny look dominant. Whenever an opponent doesn't stand and trade, manny appears to have a difficult time and doesn't look as dominant.

As for Sergio's fans, why can't they have the same opinion of their guy as you pac diehards want to have of Manny? If you can see the error in their ways IF sergio were to beat Bute(#2 at 168), thats the equivalent of a someone telling pac fans manny isn't #1 for beating cotto(#2 at 147).

He gets credit. But pointing out that the fight was at 145 catchweight and not 147 is in no way a "putdown". Its the truth.
