Floyd Mayweather versus Saul Alvarez sounds about as appealing as a cold dinner. He can continue to wait for Pacquiao - which I don't believe will ever happen - or he can waste everyone's time with an easy payday like Alvarez. While he has fought the best available welter since his return, they weren't so good that he could follow it up with an Alvarez. Pay Macklin some step-aside dough and go get Sergio.

The only person who Floyd would possibly fight outside of Golden Boy's stable is Manny, and that's not happening. Has nothing to do with 'he's scared' 'ducking and dodging' yadda yadda yadda, just purely business. Like I've been saying all along, look for Floyd to fight a Mexican from Golden Boy's stable next. We'll know in a few weeks which particular one it is.
