Can't believe a year or so ago I thought Lyle was a credible boxing writer...

it seems the only reason Rick keeps him on is because he causes feedback like this and not for his actual writing

man shut the **** up,that's boxing.He wasn't charging with his head,he was in a defensive stance while moving in to apply his head on Khan's CHEST,not his belt STOMACH.That is all part of the strategy when it comes to inside fighting.That is not against the rules.

Fail for a post....He wasn't leading in with his head..Don't be a clown...He was fighting on the inside....How can u justify a illegal move?? Your asking to be pushed down...How about stepping to your right and firing combinations like good figthers do?

thats what im saying. why does everybody who thought khan won the fight ignore that false knockdown? at the worse i had this fight a draw. i really dont see an issue with peterson winning and i probably wouldnt have seen an issue with khan winning, even tho i would have felt that he didnt deserve it in the end. it was a close fight. who's fault was it that it was a close fight that could have gone either way?? not the refs. it was the fighters.

the fight could have gone either way and for those who are whining about the ref essentially doing his job also seemingly overlook the ref not doing his job with the phantom knockdown

I am glad Peterson won not because I hate Khan (I actually like him personally he is a great interview and very approachable) but because Lamont deserves his shine so while I was happy he won I wouldn't have been this upset had Khan gotten the nod

if you look at say what Ortiz was doing against Mayweather or Hopkins does on a regular you would see true leading with the head

Lamont crouching down trying to stay inside of Khan was perfectly allowable and it was Khan looking to keep Peterson's head down to where he could punch.

This article really disappointed me. I watched some of the British media reviews of the fight on YouTube and they are being more objective and honest than our media. I don't know why US writers are trying so hard to be on Khan's side. Regardless of what you think about point deductions for pushing, the ref was pretty consistent about telling him not to do it and he continued to do it. On Sky Sports Steve Collins Johnny Nelson & Wayne McCollough all said they understood why the ref took points.

This is what has surprised me the most. The British media have surprisngly been more partial, fair and balanced than our own! I was very impressed with the British feed of the fight, which surprised me. You'd think they would be sticking up for Khan more since he was being hyped as their next big thing.
