Maybe this post is off topic from Fitz's ignorant and personal article but a good point gets raised from reading his crap.....

A few MAJOR reasons why Boxing is so bad without blaming the ref's, judges and the fighters.....

    1. HBO - for not doing their homework.
    2. Lampley - Stick to the News Desk
    3. Kellerman - Have no idea why this guy is on TV. Creepy to say the least and not a good interview.
    4. Lederman - Just plain annoying. The voice alone is insulting no less insipid.
    5. Merchant - arrogant, egocentric and over the hill. Lose this turkey already!

Roy Jones gets my respect because he isn't afraid to call it like he see's it and many times he is wrong but he still raises a good debate.
These other schmucks along with Lyle are just idiotic in their opinions and their overall presentation. It makes the viewing audience feel just plain ******.
HBO Sports really needs to get its programing department in order and do a focus group study with regard to this line up.
It's really becoming a disgrace and destroying Boxing's credibility. Even Joe Rogan comes off far more intelligent when he interviews and comments on UFC.
    HBO wake up!!!!

I'm sure Lou DiBella gets a good laugh watching the idiots struggle with getting out of their own way.

I'm thinking they'll try to have the rematch in Khan's hometown.

Suffice to say, though, that the whole of Saturday’s show from Washington, D.C. has me conflicted.

First off, regardless of who actually won the fight-of-the-year-quality main event (Lamont Peterson) – and/or who actually deserved to (Amir Khan) – my forecast of a final showcase performance by Khan on the way to a super cash-out a division north was, shall we say, a bit off.

Had Michael Buffer spat "and still" rather than "and new" after what seemed an inordinate mathematical delay at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, the handsome Brit with Pakistani tribal roots would still have had some serious image-reclamation work to do.

By any measure, his performance was disappointing.

And needless to say, even winning a chaotic scrap at 140 with a guy who’d gone 0-1-1 in his two biggest fights wouldn’t have been the most convincing evidence that Khan – even at 27-1 – was rightful heir to the P4P thrones now held by the Mayweathers and Pacquiaos at 147.

It was barely worthy, in fact, of court jesters Berto, Ortiz and Jones.

While he looked intermittently brilliant letting his hands go and befuddling Peterson with movement, there were far too many occasions when Khan was drawn into firefights and apparently flummoxed by his inability to render a less-skilled foe unconscious, or at least unwilling.

Khan cheated the entire night and lost the fight. That happens when you think you are too good for the opposition, you have to resort to cheating.

                    Strange

Strange how the author if this article see's Peterson's "skull and shoulder's " approach to Khan as grounds for the ref to step in and give warning. Did the author also think Miguel Cotto should have been warned for the same approach a couple weekends ago? If so, I didn't read any article about it.
