its quite pathetic that mexicans know abner mares cant beat donaire because donaire is clearly the superior boxer but instead of acknowledging that fact they want to denigrate donaire by saying he's too big or he's not fighting guys his own size. They act as if donaire is is six feet tall and walks around as a middleweight. it doesnt make no sense and they just look sad and bitter.Comment

there it is. Il be impressed when I see him beating and koing guys out like gamboa. until thenWhat's his own size then? 122? 126? 130?
I mean you make the weight, why not fight.
I could see if he was coming in over but he's following the rules as they are.
He's made 112,115, 118.
Everyone that can, will fight at the weight they can. Nothing wrong with that.
I feel like Donaire could possibly tko Mares late.
or fight another elite fighter in nishioka

Abner is a great boxer but Donaire is on a different level. Mares would put up a good fight but I expect Donaire to win via decision or ko. Donaire fights his best in big fights.
Donaire has taken an easy route to success and has fought smaller fighters but people act like he's Paul Williams. Montiel outweighed Donaire by 8 lbs in their fight. Donaire doesn't have a too much of a reach or height advantage, he beats people with skills.Comment

I love that my boy Mares wants to ignore my advice to leave Donaire alone. After his dominating performance against Joseph "King Kong" Agbeko in their rematch last weekend, undefeated IBF and WBC Silver bantamweight champion Abner Mares (23-0-1, 13 KOs) has beaten just about every top bantamweight thrown his way.

You are the fkn man Abner, big respect bro.
Mexicans = HUGE balls, they are serious bad asses.
I would love to see that fight.
Mares/chemito/Donaire = unanswered questions at 118.
A damn shame considering that a tournament designed to provide clarity failed so miserably. Great tourney, and great idea, they should be compulsory at every weight..... but still no clarity at bantam?
Damn, we still have not seen the best that 118 has to offer.Comment

I would love to be able to argue with you.
You could be right, and that is his only chance, but Donaire is so precise man..... one mistake, and its over.
I wanna see Mares develop a little further, he is world class, no question, but I still kinda think of him as a kid in terms of ring-age, despite his pedigree.
Donaire is a badass.Comment
