Mares is a good kid but should stay the **** away from Donaire.

Donaire via KO, I don't think Mares will see the final bell. He enjoys a good fight and Nonito will exploit that. I'd rather see Mares/Moreno first, and then the winner of that fight goes on to Donaire.

In my opinion, Mares has made a case for himself. While it's kool to consider Donaire the better fighter, the fact still remains that Mares has the resume to rival his at that weight class.

I'm not saying Mares beats Donaire. I am saying that it isn't a forgone conclusion that he wouldn't.

I agree, but making a case, and pulling it off, are two different things.

And Donaire does appear to be a level above anyone at bantam with the possible exception of Moreno.

Moreno has also made a case, but if he makes one mistake against Nonito he could be in bed early as well.
