You can actually counter while coming forward and engaging your opponent. JMM is just not great at it.


He's also a good spoiler and can cut down his opponent's workrate by moving and holding. Ask Katsidis.

He's awkward but Hatton is more dynamic with his attacks. He has better handspeed and footspeed which makes him harder to counter than Darchi.

floyd fought hatton and hatton was coming forward at him all night...yes he counterpunched him while moving backwards but limited to just one punch or 2-punch at most. he had to use his holding skills and pointed elbows to deflect hatton's attack. it was uncomfortable for him eventhough he was fighting a come forward fighter with his chin up in the air. if that's what the best counterpuncher can do then boxing is ****ed up.

thats your opinion and i respect it....but to me, darch can do more things than hatton..hatton is not faster imo, not as explosive, does not have better defense ( altho darch is not a defensive genuis himself), does not have a better chin, not having more power p4p....darch is simply more accomplished to dereserved being claimed as the better fighter...
