I agree but theres too much money offered to Cotto

I mean imagine Chavez Jr., the loses to Pac in a rematch, Beats Margo in a 3rd fight and fades to the sunset, with very good wins, accomplishments and huge lot of $$$.

I was wishing him fighting Canelo and He has the skills to beat Chavez jr, but not the same. That fight is 50/50

why is everyone mad at cotto for making his decision to stay with top rank?? he's gotta put food on the table so why hate on the guy? stays with top rank and u will get more fights with better pay day or go somewhere else, fight and gets reward less? do u guys honestly think at this point in cotto's career he's trying to make a run and become a world top contender again???

That's absurd. 7 million per fight? So we'll only see Cotto on PPV moving forward.

How can he get a Pacquiao rematch guranatee when they're trying to make the Floyd fight and have a 4th Marquez fight as the back up?

None of that sounds feasible but the 3 fight contract thing.

As much as I like Cotto being my fav. fighter and all this should never happen. I love boxing above any fighter. Pac and May has to happen but I do understand he also wants to get paid. I can see the fight the same way as the 1st with Cotto better prepared and more competetive for maybe 6-7 rds instead of 4.

No but I think signing with GBP would've been better financially at this point in his career. Floyd and Canelo on ppv are available this year.

I mean, might as well attempt to avenge that loss at the end of 2012, hopefully at 154

                But it'll be ugly again

Pacquiao-Cotto II on June 9, 2012. If not Mayweather-Pacquiao on May 5, 2012, than that's my prediction. And it will be at 147 lbs.

Would have liked to have seen Cotto go to Golden Boy. He could have had big fights with the Kirkland-Rodriguez winner (if that happens) or Alvarez at 154.

Pacquiao-Cotto II isn't bad, unless it's at 147 or 150 lbs for his title. Cotto showed he's past his prime but still good. Much like he was in 2009 and 2010. He's not like he was in 2007 and 2008, but everyone knows that. I want to see Mayweather-Pacquiao, but if it's Mayweather-Cotto at 154 or Pacquiao-Cotto II at 154, I wouldn't be totally pissed or mad. Cotto earned it, looks decent at 154.

The question would be, who is the speedy tune up that preps Cotto for a Pacquaio fight?

The JCC Jr fight is pointless. Jr is just too big and will take Cotto out if Pac II is the gameplan
