Can anyone in boxing history win a fire fight with Manny Pacquiao.

Hearns nowhere near as fast as Pac? Reeeeeeeeally?
When was the past time you ever watched Hearns? Clearly not lately or never. His speed was superior to Pac at 147.
There are few fighters I'd ever say would blitz Pac inside four or five rounds. Hearns is absolutely one who would.
Come on now, let's not get delusional here. It's Thomas ****ing Hearns against 5'7" Manny 'hit me on the chin' Pacquiao. He gets hit with the right hand easily. Hearns' right makes Marquez look slow, uncontrolled and weak. The first solid right hand Hearns lands puts him down. The second keeps him there for the ten count. He would never, ever, ever beat Hearns. Let's all just relax a little. He's good but he's not Jones Jr, Ray Leonard, Duran and Robinson all rolled into one fighter.Last edited by BennyST; 12-06-2011, 07:51 AM.Comment

I challenge you to find me some clips of Pacquiao fighting in the pocket (I seem to recall the Sanchez fight has some good footage of him fighting in the pocket and there is another fight of him earlier in his career where he fought in the pocket)...but in reality Pacquiao doesn't often stand toe to toe with anyone. His lateral movement and in and out style are anything but standing and trading. You don't see pacquiao stand and trade very often at all...so obviously he isn't the best at what you're talking about.Comment

Why bother asking a question if you're not open to any debate whatsoever? You really only want to 1) argue that whoever says yes is wrong or 2) bask in the glory of those that say no. Go home man.Comment

Also, while I won't say Hearns chin was granite, it was not made of glass, either.
Only Iran The mf'n Blade Barkley and Marvin Hagler shut him down early (early as in early into the fight).Comment

Who knows. I would put my money on Hearns. He sparked Durán.
@147 both Hearns and Tito had too much power. Absurd power. Both have height and reach advantage. Both knew how to use it.
In the case of Hearns, his height would put up a problem for Pac. Punching so high will probably cost him some power. Margo is about 5'11 (as is Trinidad), but Hearns is 6'1-6'2.
I don't think Tito's power is in Hearn's class
Pacquiao has great eyes in exchanger great at picking a perfect punch.Comment

Morales fought exactly as he ever did. Honestly man, Morales fought every fight the same way. He would box and fight. That's it. It's exactly what he did against Pac. He didn't change anything, at all, even a little bit. Go watch more than his fights against Pac and the one or two you've seen of him otherwise against Barrera or whatever. He has fought every single fight in his whole career the same way.
Why bother asking a question if you're not open to any debate whatsoever? You really only want to 1) argue that whoever says yes is wrong or 2) bask in the glory of those that say no. Go home man.

This thread should be called can anyone do better than pac at murdering plodding come forward punching bags while he runs circles around them? To answer that, no not many people can. We know anyone who moves against Pacquiao is considered a "coward runner" but when Pacquiao uses his lateral and in and out movement apparently it is "standing toe to toe"Comment
