They really try to use Margarito like he was something special, and sure he passed on 7 million and ended up getting over 800 million without Top Rank while beating p4p and hall of fame fighters..but but Margarito..lol

Mayweather never fought anybody like them guys who are not scare to get hit and punch with you at the same time with good chins and high work rate.

Then when he fought someone everyone told him to fight it was waaaaay past their prime. Then he would say, see? I beat him but it's still not enough.

Um actually, it would of been enough if any of them were in their prime.
Sigh. If you knew anything you'd know he wanted to fight Marg if he got a higher guarantee to fight hatton and cotto. Arum said no so Floyd left. He wasn't a slave for arum like pac

        • After Judah lost and Floyd got Mitchell out of the way, he should have fought Margarito.

          It was on the table.

you can't say if you knew anything then post something that clearly shows you didn't even read the first post in the thread. you are talking about something completely different. it was 7 million for marg or 4 million for sharmba.

yes he made money but are you saying he wouldn't have made money if he had fought margarito? he would have made even more(if he won) so you can't make the money argument. its not about money, its about making the most money for doing the least. he didnt beat any great fighters in their primes. were some of these past prime guys on the p4p list sure but thats no surprise since big names are often overranked due to their past accomplishments. were some of them hall of famers sure but were they in their primes? no.

as for margarito not being special hmmm he beat an undefeated sergio martinez and cotto. you know how crazy floyd fans would go if floyd had those wins? he was also #1 for 4 years at welterweight and in the top 5 for 8 years. seems like a formidable opponent to take on and for the biggest payday...win win right oh wait no it never happened and like everyone in 2005 pointed out floyd wanted the easiest path. and he got it.

It was what was on the rest of the table that was the problem.
