I wasn't elated with the stoppage but I couldn't argue with it.

We all knew that if Margarito's eye was damaged it would most likely be stopped. And let's face it, it was a mess.

I would have preferred a Referee stoppage. But the fighter's safety must come first.

I enjoyed watching Margarito get destroyed by Mosley, Pacquiao and Cotto. I wish they would have let it continue so Margarito would have lost his eye permanently but no, Arum saved the cheating scumbag once again.

That wasnt the case last night... the eye was swollen but in no way was Cotto blowing out Tony at the time of stoppage on points ahead no doubt, but again the fight had just switched gears and a Puerto Rican Dr gave miguel the win I dont agree with the stoppage based on the way Tonys 9th round was
LMAO. Shifted in his favor? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Marg wanted to continue, ltherefore you let him.

Honestly, there are far worse stoppages routinely, like all of Chavez and Conelos fights, those are two different things. But, Marg as hitting Cotto more and more, and he wanted to continue. If the fighter is willing to take responsibility for his own health, let him fight.

If they let the fight finish, it could've been a CLASSIC. Remember, Diego - Corrales, one of the greatest fights ever? Only, because the ref let them fight on, imagine that being ruined by the refs.

What about Ali-Frazier III? Same deal, only a classic because the ref stayed out of the way.

Its no wonder UFC is kicking boxing's ass, you always get a satisfying conclusion that is not ruined by refs or doctors. I'm talking more about the recent Canelo and Chavez stops, disgraceful stoppages that happen more and more. The Marg one was understandable, but I still say if the fighter wants to fight, let him.

Good stoppage. I would have liked to see one more round, but his eye had been closed a couple rounds already. The man has to see the rest of his life. The ref and ring doctors are there to protect fighters from themselves, and thats exactly what they did.
