I had money on Cotto by decision, so no.

Can't really argue with the stoppage if I'm being honest. I think he would've been allowed to continue if there hadn't been a problem with his eye before though.

100% AGREED! Cotto was in full retreat, basiclly running. Margarito had made it his fight because Cotto had ran out of gas due to the constant pressure by Margarito. Many are blinded by love and admiration, but to the trained eye , Cotto was a beaten and broken man on the verge of another stoppage.

        Lame ass fight.

Margarito was pushing hard at the end, and Cotto was running out of gas.

If Cotto thinks that was the most significant win of his career.. he should retire from boxig seriously.

It was a good stoppage for Tony, but not for Cotto. Did you see the look of dissapointment on Cotto's face when they stopped it? He wanted to keep beating Tony up, and they took that away from him.

And you guys that think Tony was winning, he only won round 5, which actually could have gone either way. Cotto boxed beautifully. He executed the perfect plan to beat Tony.

He kept turning him, avoided most uppercuts and stayed well away from the ropes, which you guys mistake him as running. Was he supposed to stand there and let Tony pressure him? Get real. No way was he going to win this fight, even if Pac hadn't mssed up that eye.

This is how Cotto could have won their 1st fight.

I honestly wanted to see Margarito so damaged he could never compete athletically again, so, no, I wanted more. Cotto was humiliating him, and I enjoyed every second of it.

No, I wanted more. Margarito will heal and have his eyesight back. I wanted Miguel to leave a life altering injury on Margarito. Something Margarito could remember him for.

I wasn't happy with the stoppage, I thought Margarito's face needed at least two more rounds of tenderizing.

Nobody had Margarito winning in terms of points but the fight did shift gears in Tonys favor and at the time that happend the Dr stopped the fight.

So that leads me to question, isnt the Drs responsibility to stop the fight when its clear that the fighter in question is un able to protect himself?

That wasnt the case last night... the eye was swollen but in no way was Cotto blowing out Tony at the time of stoppage on points ahead no doubt, but again the fight had just switched gears and a Puerto Rican Dr gave miguel the win I dont agree with the stoppage based on the way Tonys 9th round was
