Cotto didn't win the fight. The doctor stopped the fight. Pacquiao damaged the eye, Cotto took advantage fighting on the backstep.

Kind of a hollow victory but he showed some great skills, great speed, power and accuracy.

No one can doubt Marg's a warrior though. And although i can appreciate Cotto's qualities, fans love nothing better than a warrior.

Hahaha! Cotto was beginning to feel margarito' s power and was running and clinching like a girl. It was going exactly like the first fight. Margo was laughing all the time. Cotto was lucky they stopped the fight, he didn't win cause everyone knew about margo's eye and cotto was tiring and his face was swollen. Margarito a beast! Cotto lost all respect. Fighting in front of his people vs a man without an eye and running and clinching?

You Ricans are pathetic. Cotto received a gift. The fight was turning exactly like the first fight. Margo was walking through Cotto's punches. Cotto was getting tired and hurt so they stopped the fight to help Cotto. Margo fought with an injured eye and still was chasing Cotta la puta so she started to clinch like the puta he is. There were Three rounds left and Margo was winning since the eigth round.

Great fight, electric atmosphere. Not sure if this has been discussed but did HBO mention the fight night weights? Antonio Margarito looked like a light heavyweight in there, man he was huge. Plaster or no plaster, not too many 147-154lbers would've been able to withstand a lot of those blows. Cotto wisely stayed away but even then his face looked a little worse for wear afterward. His stamina (or lack thereof), which has been questionable throughout his career, reared it's ugly head again. The fight might have been a lot closer if the doctor didn't stop the fight although I don't believe Margarito would've stopped him. I rooted hard for Margarito when these guys fought for the first time but yesterday I was really happy to see Miguel get his revenge. Hope he takes a long vacation and comes back ready to make the best, and most profitable bouts to close out his career.

The Dr had no business stopping that fight at that point, especially when it was clear Tony took that final round there, and the fight had shifted...

When a Dr should stop the fight is when its clear the fighter can no longer protect himself due to the injury.

Zook, the fight was getting worse. Cotto was gaining a tremendous amount of momentum before the stoppage. I agree that I don't think they should've stopped it. But I'm only agreeing because I wanted Marg to take his 12 round beating like a man; which he was right on track for that before the stoppage.

Re-watch the fight and you'll see that Cotto was landing heavier and heavier shots as the fight went on. If Cotto would've opened up like Mosley did, Marg wouldn't have seen 12.

I agree Marg would not have seen 12 but I also think Cotto just wanted to punish him for 12 rds. The fight Cotto Fought was a thing of beauty he took some things froim Mosley fight and I think the 3rd he did a few Pac moves. All these ****ing haters wish I knew in person so I could slap the shiet out of them.

1st of all the only thing similar between these 2 fights is that cotto out boxed him. 2nd, i didnt know clinching and sticking n moving was illegal. 3rd ur boxing knowledge is to basic to know what a smart approach n strategy is to win this fight. 4th ur boyfriend margo has absolutely 0 boxing skills, 0 skills in cutting off the ring and looked terrible during the entire fight. 5th not to mention he looked dumb as **** for gettin beat the **** up and laughing, screaming like a b1tch and acting foolish. If it makes u feel better that cotto ran or marg was coming back cuz he won 1 round then fine sleep peacefully at night but the truth and facts remain that cotto out boxed him, out smarted him and out classes him. that was the difference between the 1st and 2nd fight. oh wait and that extra small incentive of plaster that since being caught has rendered margacheato irrelevant in the boxing world! The eye issue should NOT be an issue cuz margs himself was sayin the entire training camp that it was fine. Doctors cleared him to fight repeatedly stating his eye was 100% healthy. And for u ******s that wanna give pac man credit and lack knowledge in the medical field, after a bone is broken it heals better and stronger. That being said margs knew cotto was targeting it, if he didnt defend n protect it thats his bad for being ****** enough to think he cant be hurt by the "girl" who b1tch slapped the **** outta him the entire fight and closed his eye shut! i hope this clears up things for ur mentally challenged brain.
